I receive an email once in a while from Nuffnang and this one is about 6th Blog Day that Nuffnang will be celebrating. Thanks for the email and now I knew that there is such a day dedicated to Blog.
As requested

I came to know about this blog and blogger when I attended the  Blogfest Asia 2010 in Penang organised by Bloggercon. The blogger behind this is Kounila Keo, a Cambodian Lady and she’s a AFP Reporter,  who had the opportunity travelling in performing her job. Being a Cambodian and as we knew how English were spoken, I found out that this lady speaks English quite fluently. That goes also to her writings. Being a journalist in Cambodia, a once war torn nation, she speaks out her mind, “ Cambodia seems much worse, and as I said among them all, Cambodian media are only into politics and stuff. Not a day goes by without journalists writing up political pieces just to satisfy a certain politician”.
This blog’s tagline is “It’s not just another Cambodian blog and if you want to read about Cambodian Politics, lifestyle and mind of a Cambodian women, don’t miss this blog. Being a journalist, her posts were written in a journalistic style.

WEBSITE SAFETY

In today's virus attack age of the internet, it is good to have some tools to check the safety of your website. Besides your antivirus software installed in your C, we might need something else to boost our confidence of visiting certain website besides letting your visitor know that your website is safe.

I found a website that helps check the safety of any website and as far as I have used it, its FREE. It is
and the URL IS

It is an online project in helping keeping the World Wide Web as a safe place for Internet users. The site helps to check websites for malware, phishing, privacy concerns, overall trust and reliability levels, famili-friendliness, and several other important factors and come up with a summary. It's easy to use for you just fill in the URL of the website and SURF SAFELY will do the rest for you. As a test, I tried a porn URL and the results shows "family-friendly content percentage is LOW, which means NOT suitable for minors and even adults. "wink" The higher the percentage the better for the site. However some sites I tried return a "restricted summary" and I don't know why.

I tried with one of my blog and this is the summary displayed.

Web Intrusion

I received a message from Google regarding an intrusion into my email account. Google warned me that an unknown person tried to access my Gmail. Google advised me to change my password and I heed the advice.

account intrusion1

I did not expect that my there is someone interested in my email and tried to open it.

With today’s advancement in software technology, such intrusion will become a normal activity especially when one is not well protected.

Lately there is some weird activity on Facebook chat function. A few time I received chat request from known friends which turn out to be something suspicious after a few times. The chat box pops up and it is from someone you know with a greeting. Once answered he/she will ask with this question, do you wanna laugh? With your response your ‘friend’ will send you a link. Luckily I did not click on any link. At first I thought it’s a genuine ‘hi’ from my friend. After a few times receiving the same operation, I guess its some sort of malware or phishing activities.

What Is This Foursquare Message About?

Image representing Foursquare Solutions as dep...Image via CrunchBase
Found out some changes on Foursquare but it seems that there is no information about it. What it is all about. You can't get information about foursuqare badges if you search it on www.foursquare.com. The information is only available on other websites such as Wikipedia. Why Foursquare so stingy about information of the application to users? Another example is if you look at the screen print page I attached to this posting, you can see some blue dots scattered around the map.  One might ask what is this blue dot all about? My guess is location of users in the area. Well, anybody has some information?     That is only one of the guessing users have to make on 4square.

Twitter Being Hacked?

Image representing Twitter as depicted in Crun...Image via CrunchBaseYahoo! News report that popular microblogging website has been attacked

NEW YORK – A new way to cause mischief is spreading through short-messaging service Twitter as mysterious "tweets" of blocked-out text propagate themselves and cause popup windows to open.

It affects twits on tweeter.com. Well, thats for the time being. So if you are tweeting from your mobile, tweetdeck or other applications, you might be safe for the time being.

It is getting more mischievous. More and more websites has been attacked. I think many online newspaper readers has experience the message warning visitors not to visit such website because of Malware.

G String...Ooppsss.... Read It as Geostring

At a glance I read it as G string, the scantily sexy  panties worn by sexy ladies. This is actually Geostring and International advertisement company
What is a Geostring?

GeoString is an online marketing company. Its simply a string of your contacts and their contacts all strung together to build an incredible cash generator for the length of the string. You'll be amazed at how far your string reaches, both in numbers, and geographically! ( So, if the longer the string gets, the more $s you will get.)

Upon registration, one will be deposited with $10.00 to his/her account and registration is FREE.

It’s unbelievable how fast FREE money adds up!

GeoString pays you for each person you refer, and each person they refer!

This trend takes place through 10 full levels of referrals with unlimited width.
Your FREE income potential with GeoString is unlimited and with no costs to you!

The minimum cash out limit is $100

How It Works?
Sponsors pay to put their message in front of their members. In turn, Geostring pays you for becoming an opt in member of their program. The advertising revenues from their sponsors make it possible to pay their membership base for doing nothing more than creating a free account, referring others, and opening the once weekly email from their company.

When they said that I will earn from reading the sponsors ads, I remember sometimes ago I was doing the same. I had registered with a few online Pay To Read websites and all those are FREE too. However when I had reached the eligibility to withdraw my accumulated FREE money, I found out only PAID members can request for payout. I sent a few emails to the websites and received a message "We will respond to your email soon". How soon is their "SOON?". Until today, 6 months later, I still did not receive any email from the website. Luckily I did not pay any single cent to the website to withdraw my more than $36,000 in my account.

That was a $10,000 minimum limit for Payout. Now this Geostring is just $100. Since I get $10.00 for registration, I have to find another $90.00 to be eligible for cashout. I am giving this a try. After all its FREE and I don't have (and will NOT PAY) any money to cashout. If after I reached the minimum cashout  limit and did not get any money from them, then thats it. I'll cut the strings.

Are you going to join me to prove something about FREE online money making websites. After all you will only loose your time while waiting for something to get downloaded.

How Can I Mobile Blog?

After reading some blogs that says they post from their mobile, it crossed my mind that I want to go mobile blogging too. With Blackberry in hand I want to make full use of its features or else why own one it you don't stretch it to the limit.

I browse the internet for mobile blogging applications and the best I could find might be go.blogger (Blog On The Go) since I have been using Blogger all this while. Before I can post anything, I have to register first and registration can be done by MMS, SMS or email. I tried all the three options and this is the reply from blogger.

From: postgateway@blogger.com

Device not registered. To create a blog now, send the word REGISTER in an MMS or email to go@blogger.com. By sending REGISTER you agree to the Blogger TOS

I just don't know how to register my device after all the three options have been used and still unsuccessful.

Anybody here in Malaysia has been using go blogger to mobile blog? I need your help.

Longest Annular Eclipse Of The Century

Today most of us had waited to witness the annular eclipse of the sun.
An annular eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line, but the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun. Hence the Sun appears as a very bright ring, or annulus, surrounding the outline of the Moon.

However in Malaysia we are only able to see partial eclipse because the sun is in the northern hemispehere. I watched what happen in Bangalore, India HERE. See path of the eclipse HERE

I picked this from HERE. Today is the day you will witness the longest solar eclipse of this century take place. The annular solar eclipse would be visible in most parts of India but only the southern fringes of the country will see it as an Annular eclipse. For the rest of the country, it would be a partial solar eclipse.

The best places to see the eclipse in its annular from would be Dhanuskodi town near Rameshwaram. If you are already there, wait for the show to begin! The eclipse will last for over 10 minutes in mainland India and can go up to a maximum of 11 minutes 8 seconds in parts of the Indian ocean thus making it the longest solar eclipse of this century. The eclipse starts a at 10:44 am IST and will end at 2:29 PM (IST). This is not the total duration of the eclipse but the range of time different places would see the eclipse happen.

I am sure most of us were disappointed because during the time the eclipse occur, heavy rain clouds shroud the area around the sun (in Kuala Lumpur). I and a few friends was quite lucky today because was able to see the shadow of the moon encroaching into the sun for a few minutes before being covered by the clouds.

I felt lucky to see it even for a short while because I might not be able to witness another annular eclipse because the next annulus solar eclipse will come again in 1028 years. Check dates for next solar eclipse HERE

As reported in The Straits Times, Singapore- The duration of 'annularity' - the time the moon is in front of the sun - was 11 minutes, eight seconds at 0706 GMT, making it 'the longest annular eclipse of the 3rd Millennium,' according to Nasa. Only on Dec 23, 3043 will this record be beaten. The lunar umbra, or shadow was set to expire in the Shandong peninsula in China at 0859 GMT. -- AFP

This Annoying Pop Up

I use to receive this annoying pop-ups for an on-line university degree. This happens often happens when I wanted to view my blog after being posted. Today I receive this pop-up again everytime I click to view my blog after posting. I enable pop-up blocker on my netbook and maybe that's the reason it appears on the main page.

Then I found out that the problem is with the FREE Geobytes addin. Worse it this statement "Earn-your-degree.com has no control over that or any other pop-up advertising. "

So. now the question is do I have to delete my Geobyte addin? I am not ready to be a Premium member because there is not much benefit from upgrading.

Need Help With My Paypal

My Paypal account has been put in Limited Access for sometimes already.

When the status is limited it means....... and I need to supply proof address to PayPal.

To confirm my address I have to send a copy of ............

I have tried to send a copy of my credit card statement but to no avail.
How and where do I send it to?
Readers well verse with Paypal, please help me.
Thank you

Get Paid To Click -2

For the past few days since 1 November, I spend more of my time on the email and clicking advertisements. Its the get paid to click activity. If you check at the top and bottom of this blog you can see some advertisement banners. Thats the my get paid to click accounts that I have registered to.

The website send links for me to click into my email box. When I click the link it will direct me to another website. As soon as the website is displayed there is a message  on top 'Thank you for supporting our sponsors!. You will receive XXXX cents(s), once you have visited this sponsor's site for at least XX seconds.'After leaving the site for the required time duration the message change to "Your account has been credited. Thank you."

I was discussing with a friend this morning just to clear our curiosity. How and where these companies get the money to pay members. As a free member I do not have to pay a single cent to them and yet they are paying members between $50 - $ 100 for having the advertiser's website running on my computer for the given time duration. On top of that they even pay sign-up bonus between $200 -$500 per member besides $20 -$50 for referrals.

If all goes well and the company do honour their pledge, I might be able to request for payout by the end of November and receive my check by end of 2009. After 10 days of registering on one of the site, I had already  accumulated $9,300.00 in my account. It will be another $15,700 before I can request for payout from this site:

mailsmoney.net

The big question is, am I going to get the money? Is this legal? This company is based in the US. I just don't know the answer until I actually receive and clear my check or get nothing at all. If I did not receive any money after being eligible for payout, I will loose that $25,000. in numbers but not in physical money. In fact I do not loose any money but just a few minutes a day checking my email and click the advertisers website. So I have nothing to loose. Even though I did not spend my time clicking and let the website run on my laptop, I will waste my time on something else too.

Now I can only dream what I am going to do with the money (LOL). Buy paintball e-marker (which will be the top priority for now), Go for holidays? Buy  new car? The dream will not end. BUT if only the money really comes.

So if you think you want a good dream like me, you too can join by clicking the banner provided. You get the sign-up bonus, I get the referral bonus.

Paid To Click

I have registered myself for the Paid To Click Program on the internet. The program will pay subscribers or called affiliate for reading links that is being sent. Subscribers have to read the link between 20 seconds and 60 seconds before the money is being credited into his/her account.

This morning I registered with this website and after reading a few advertisement I already have $45.00 in my account. This amount will be credited into my Paypal account and now Paypal transactions can be made in Malaysia. The statement below is for sweetptr.com

One Paid To Read program that I join is the Sweet PTR. This program gives you a $25 sign-up bonus. So, it means if you sign-up you will be given that bonus not including the links that you read.

I join PROmail pay to read website last night. PORmail gives a higher commission to read mails and today I already have $500 cahs balance in my account. This money will be deposited into members Paypal account upon request. However FREE member will only be able to cash out after having $ 10,000 in the account. I think members have nothing to loose since he is not paying any subscription to open and maintain an account. Promails.org is world's first Online Paid To Read Program in the Web that obtained ISO 27001 Information Security System certifications to ensure maximum customer satisfaction, security and safe online earning for users.

Collection of Red Mummy

THIS BLOG ENTRY WON TENTH PRIZE FOR NUFFNANG PROJECT ALPHA BLOG WRITING CONTEST.

Back in the 60s when I was a kid and television images are still in black and white, there is a TV program called "Days". The program exhibits a day in the life of selected individuals. From the program viewers can learn the different lifestyles of different individuals that come from different walks of life. From my perception  it is a good program because of its educational and down to earth lifestyles as compared to what is being projected in movies and drama serials.

Today when Nuffnang come out with its Project Alpha(PA), I can see it as some sort of revival of the same program but in a different set up and different platform to reach the audience. Besides the selective idea of projecting lifestyles of well known bloggers coincide with todays in thing - blogging. More and more individuals has been jumping onto the blogging bandwagon writing about anything on earth, positively and/ or  negatively.

Project Alpha is a production targeted to the blogging community and using the internet as a platform to spread its wing. Audience might be small since the (broadband) penetration rate is 24.8 per 100 household as at second quarter of 2009.  However as far as Malaysia is concerned, Project Alpha is a posivite  start when in the years to come there will be more and more people depending on the internet for source of information. The inception and rising popularity of mobile broadband will one day leave out the traditional electronic media. It will be entertainment on the go and this is where program such as Project Alpha will benefit. Project Alpha can be viewed on You Tube and with the popularity of the website, it can reach a much wider internet audience even on top of Everest (provided if there is availability of satellite enable communication gadgets).

I first came to know about this project when I drop by into Nicolekiss blog, one that I enjoy reading. For those who just came to know what Project Alpha is all about, and lazy to read watch the Season 1 trailer.

PA is a Kynite production and partnered with  Nuffnang, a internet advertisement generator, as the official blog partner. The project is sponsored by Adidas Action3 (official main sponsor), Rimmel of London (official make-up), Sunway (official location), Hitz.fm (official media partner), Ministry of Sound (official venue sponsor -Not a government agency).

This posting, I am going to blog about one of my favourite blogger redmummy. Visitors to her blog will definitely see red once the page starts loading. That's because she choose the colour red as her identity. Nuffnang has made the right choice in choosing her as one of the participant to represent a wife and mother to two lovely kids.

Redmummy who even write in Bahasa Malaysia do attract thousands of readers dna has her GBM or Geng Blog Merah comprising of her faithful readers. I collect and post all the seven episodes about her in one place for the benefit of her fans. I decided to do this after finding out that some of the episode were not found on You Tube or placed somewhere else. I have to combine from the two sources - You Tube and Nuffnang's Project Alpha website. Now with this posting, I hope her fans can just visit The xperienceoflife.blogspot.com (this blog of course......) as the alternative to her official blog to view all her episodes.

What Happens To My Stats?

I found out a few days ago that the figure on my visitors stats was decreased from more than a 100k that I achieved on 31 July 2009 at 11.31 a.m. Now the figure shows I only have 13,695 visitors only and wondering    why. If its on my car dashboard I know the meter cable might have snapped.

Luckily I have another site meter which at this moment of writing this posting shows 47,169 visitors. This second site meter was added way later that the one from Kennedy Western University's site meter.

Now I have actually lost count of my actual visitors.

SEX

I purposely put the tittle that way.

I know most people will be interested. Its basic needs after all but talking about it is taboo in our soceity.

Are you interested in sex after all?

Don't bullshit me and say no.

I decided to write this posting after surfing The Sun UK to find the news of Tan Sri Ananda Krishnan wanting to buy Newcastle United.

Want to read more about sex? Go HERE. Read for yourself. I was reading this page and therefore linked to it. But wait!. Don't read it as a pervert but be an adult and look at the educational side of sex.

Web Forgery = Phishing

This warning notice came from Firefox. Firefox 3 has built-in Phishing and Malware protection to help keep online surfing secure.

The warning came after I clicked a link from twitter.

I open Google Chrome browser and test the same link sent from the same twitterite and this is the warning given. However I did not block the twitterite from my twitter because a few other link given seems to be genuine. But as personal security reason, I'll not give out any personal information to this twitterite.
