Gearing Up For Yakuza Starts

This posting is not political. Its sports. Today I and my team members  went to Werdna Hol Sportz at Bandar Tun Razak in Cheras. It was going to be a discussion about our team sponsorship with the proshop who is sponsoring a few teams and tournament locally.

Only four of the team members were present and it was quite a fruitful discussion with the proshop owner, Andrew himself. We are planning to gear up our team for future involvement in paintball and as it is we are going to be serious in the sports. Our discussion did came up with some sort of aggreement verbally that we are going to accept Werdna's sponsorship. Not sure whether there will be a  follow-up with proper documentation. It all depends on both parties in future discussions.

Andrew suggests we go for Sly, where he is the sole dealer for this region but since its on the higher end of paintball apparels and by looks seems to be of better quality , we decided not to go for it with our limited and tight budget. So we are going to opt for another brand to suit our budget.

Eventhough it was a verbal understanding we did start our purchase with the initial and most important equipment for paintball sports- goggle.

For every invovlement in sports, the first thing to be considered is the safety aspect. For that reason prior to that we agreed to start out with the goggle. We all bought a Dye I3 goggle system by dyepaintball at a discounted sponsporship price. And now we have to carry the Werdna Hol on our attire.
Waaa....just action only with the Azodin blitz.

Am I Addicted To Paintball?

I just returned for a paintball tournament at the Kompleks Sukan Negara family park. I on the way to fetch my son attending a seminar at his school and since the time is still early, I decided to check out Xtionpaintball at the family park. Upon arrival I found out that there is a tournament going on and it was the MPOC.

I started playing paintball earlier this year and found out now that I am already addicted to the game. Even though I and my team YAKUZA can't make it to the training ground most of the time due to high cost of playing but keeping track with the sport is already in me. For the future I will have to buy personal equipments inclusive of markers to be serious in the sports. Will I have the extra RMs for such expensive equipments remains a question mark.

Entertainment - Of Transformer and Harry Potter

Two of the latest buzz word in recent weeks are Transformers and Harry Potter. Transformer was made popular by the cartoon series of the same tittle and Harry Potter was written by J.K Rawlings and adapted into a blockbuster movie. Both these names took the world by storm. This evening I went out to Car Park A National Stadium, Bukit Jalil and see the influence of Transformers. I put it in picture here.

These pretty ladies was transformed from the car bearing transformers stickers and logos.

Transformers is movie from Dreamworks was released on 03-07-2007.

Harry Potters

The Recommended Retail Price of the book is RM 109.90 but hypermarket are selling at a discounted price of RM 69.90 which is a RM 40 discount.

How To Do A Batik Painting

My son came home from school and asked me money to buy a batik painting kit. At first I was a bit reluctant with the mindset that it is just another business strategy targetting school children. But after giving it some thought, why not let my son go ahead ti test his creativity. Who knows he might be a batik artist in future (Ohhh.....my dreaming mind) The kit was priced at RM 12.00 per set. The set consists of a ready drawn batik template. Palette, coloured dye and sodium silicate solution. It is a good start for kids for we can detect their creativity and to me I do not like to interfere or suggest their creativity. This is a series of picture of what my son did.

This is my grandchild.

Nearly finish before using sodium silicate. Seems my son loves dark colour. Any psychologist can tell me how this is related to his phychological growth?

Ahhh.......Finish. Now for Sodium Silicate

The one on the left is my son's work and the right my grandsons work.

The end product after boiling in hot water to rid the wax outline. My sons work is on the right. It is a bit fade maybe because the use of Sodium Silicate is not properly fixed. Any batik painter can give me some information on use of Sodium Silicate?

One Betta Dead

This morning I found that one of the Betta I bought a few weeks ago for my son is dead. Not sure when it dies and I am not sure of the cause of the death. Maybe it has reached its lifespan, contiminated water or what.....

Fighting Fish (Betta)

Went to the Sales Carnival at Putra Stadium, Bukit Jalil and buy these two Betta (commonly as fighting fish or ikan laga) for my son. It cost RM 6 a fish and RM 10 for two.

I remember when I was a kid, I use to catch this fish myself. They are found at nipah swamps and they live in between the ribs of the palm where there is water. It's cruel to put them together and let them fight but that was the sport those days. We use to know many species of fighting fish and believe that Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens) are the strongest. But I promise these two fish that I buy for my son will not be made to fight each other but for admiring the colourful beauty when they are ready for 'war'.
