Mona Lisa In Coffee

Its amazing to see how artists portray their skills in ways to create their own identity and popularity. In Sydney an artist and his assistants 'paint' the Mona Lisa using 3,604 cups of coffee blended with different amount of milk to create the colour tones. It was a project organized at Rocks Aroma Festivals in Sydney,  Australia and was seen by 130,000 people who attended the one-day coffee lovers event.

The painting, measuring 20 feet high and 13 feet wide took a team of eight people three hours to complete.

So Alarming

I read an article online about how fast someone can break into and run away with a car. This myMetro report says it just take less than a minute to prise open a Proton Satria GTi that is equipped with alarm. Proton Satria is among the latest in the Proton range of production. It might be unfair to accuse that Proton cars are easy prey but coffee shop talk tell the stories. Majority of stolen cars can be registered as unrecoverable since they can be dismantled within hours and sold as spare parts.  It is as good as lost forever. And how close can the authority monitor spare part or the kereta potong outlet that all their goods are legally resourced. You can't cannot prove that the second hand window is from another stolen car, do you?  

What flies into my mind is how safe are our properties nowadays? This includes our lives and our neighbours'.

These two Arabic character is the most popular writings to be seen everywhere. The name of Allah The Almighty and the spelling of Muhammad (PBUH) the last prophet sent to mankind. Physically people write in the most beautiful of handwriting of Islamic calligraphy known as khat.

Both these names has been widely used by Muslims all over the world not only as decorative purposes but as a reminder to always remember Allah Azzawajalla, the creator of the universe and all its contents and prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Amazing Picture From Plane Before Crash

UPDATED 24 Jun 2009: Today I decided to update this blog to clarify that the pictures are a hoax. A reader posted the comment with the link to prove that these pictures are hoax. I am not pulling out this posting because it will be information to future readers about the status of the picture.

Yesterday the world saw the disappearance of an A330 Air France during a trans Atlantic flight between Rio to Paris. Very ironic that a day before got a mail of the photos taken by a passenger on a flight mins after a mid air collision, and minutes before the crash of the said aircraft.

Two shots taken inside the plane before it crashed. Unbelievable! Photos taken inside the GOL B 737 aircraft that was involved in a mid air collision and crashed.......

AB737 had a mid air collision with the Embraer Legacy while cruising at 35,000 feet over South America. The Embraer Legacy, though seriously damaged with the winglet ripped off, managed to make a landing at a nearby airstrip in the midstof the Amazon jungle. The crew and passengers of the Embraer Legacy had no ideawhat they had hit. The B737 however crashed, kiling all crew and passengers on board.

The two photos attached were apparently taken by one of the passengers in the B737, just after the collision and before the aircraft crashed. The photos were retrieved from the camera's memory stick. You will never get to see photos like these. In the first photo, there is a gaping hole in the fuselage through which you can see the tail plane and vertical fin of the aircraft. In the second photo, one of the passengers is being sucked out of the gaping hole.

These photos were found in a digital Casio Z750, amidst the remains in Serra do Cachimbo. Although the camera was destroyed, the memory stick was recovered. Investigating the serial number of the camera, the owner was identified as Paulo G. Muller, an actor of a theatre for children known in the outskirts of Porto Alegre. It can be imagined that he wasstanding during the impact with the Embraer Legacy and during the turbulence, he managed to take these photos, just seconds after the tail loss the aircraft plunged. So the camera was found near the cockpit. The structural stress probably ripped the engines away, diminishing the falling speed, protecting the electronic equipment but not unfortunately the victims. Paolo Muller leaves behind two daughters, Bruna and Beatriz.

Grapes hang in a cluster resembling the shape of the heart. An individual grape looks like a blood cell and research today shows that grapes are a wonderful heart and blood vitalizing food.

Amazing Holes. No Dirty Thought Please!!

8 Amazing Holes!

I receive an email from a friend about eight greatest holes in the world. So I made an internet search for the holes for more references. I am sharing the holes. No dirty thoughts, OK!!

These holes are not only amazing, but some of them are really terrifying - especially #8! The sheer scale of these holes reminds you of just how tiny you are.

1. GLORY HOLE, Monticello Dam, California

No this is not the ones found on toilet walls. (Click picture to see more)

This is the 'Glory Hole' at Monticello dam, and it's the largest in the world of this type of spillway, its size enabling it to consume 14,400 cubic feet of water every second.

A glory hole is used when a dam is at full capacity and water needs to be drained from the reservoir.

If you were to jump in for some reason, your body would shoot out near the bottom of the dam. There is one person known to have had this experience. She did not live to tell her experience.

2. KIMBERLY BIG HOLE, South Africa.

Apparently the largest ever hand-dug excavation in the world, this 1097 meter deep mine yielded over 3 tons of diamonds before being closed in 1914.

The amount of earth removed by workers is estimated to total 22.5 million tons.

3. Bingham Canyon Mine, Utah

This is supposedly the largest man-made excavation on earth. Extraction began in 1863 and still continues today, the pit increasing in size constantly. In its current state the hole is ¾ miles deep and 2.5 miles wide.


4. Great Blue Hole, Belize

Like a giant pupil in a sea of turquoise, The Blue Hole is a perfectly circular limestone sinkhole more than 300 feet across and 412 feet deep. The array of bizarre stalactites and limestone formations which mould its walls seem to become more intricate and intense the deeper one dives. Near to The Blue Hole, one of Belize's largest protected areas, Half Moon Caye Natural Monument, encompasses 10,000 acres of the atoll and 15 square miles of surrounding waters.

This incredible geographical phenomenon known as a blue hole is situated 60 miles off the mainland of Belize.There are numerous blue holes around the world,but none as stunning as this one..

At surface level the near perfectly circular hole is ¼ mile wide, and the depth in the middle reaches 145 meters. Obviously the hole is a huge hit with divers.

5. Mirny Diamond Mine, Serbia I'm pretty sure most people have seen this one. It's an absolute beast and holds the title of largest open diamond mines in the world.. At 525 meters deep, with a top diameter of 1200 meters, there's even a no-fly zone above the hole due to a few helicopters having been sucked in. The red arrow in the photo above is pointing to a huge truck. 6. Diavik Mine, Canada This incredible mine can be found 300km northeast of Yellowknife in Canada.. The mine is so huge and the area so remote that it has its own airport with a runway large enough to accommodate a Boeing 737. It looks equally cool when the surrounding water is frozen. Sinkhole in Guatemala A sinkhole is caused when water, usually rainwater or sewage, is soaked up by the earth on a large scale, resulting in the ground collapsing the surface. These photos are of a sinkhole that occurred early this year in Guatemala. The hole swallowed a dozen homes and killed at least 3 people. Officials blamed the monster of a hole on a ruptured sewage pipe. More pictures HERE. And the really terrifying one?

This is the famous 'Rat Hole' that you have heard about. It is capable of swallowing millions of dollars... Annually! Never to be heard from again. It makes me tremble & shiver!
