Husband 4 Sale

Some light moment
A store that sells husbands has just opened in New York City , where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates.

You may visit the store ONLY ONCE!

There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch .... You may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.

The second floor sign reads:
Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love kids.

The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids and are extremely good looking.

'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop- dead good looking and help with the housework.

'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!' Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop- dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.  Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day!

Please send this to all men for a good laugh and to all the women who can handle the truth!

Twitbate Between LKS And YM T R

Found out that there was a "Twitterbate" over the internet.
Haahaha....its my own term coined from Twitter Debate. So I call it Twitterbate. Or maybe Twitbate. Hahaha...anyway what I an glad is that its between two veteran Malaysian political 'dinosaur' from the different  political divide. Lim Kit Siang of DAP and YM Tengku Razaliegh Hamzah from UMNO. This is the political debate that we Malaysian want to see. Politicians from both divide debating for a common cause and they are debating over the right of Kelantan to be paid the oil royalty. Unlike the two Kelantan traitors of Tok Pa and Awang Adek who from my opinion has some hidden political agenda in them.

Remember Terengganu? When PAS took Terengganu, oil royalties were forfeited as a lesson to the people for voting in the opposition. But when BN regain the state, the royalties were reinstated. This will happen to Kelantan if BN can wrest the state from PAS. They think the Kelantan people are just plain stupid.

I  missed following the Twitbate because I was at work and only came to know about it from Malaysian Insider in the evening. Their debate can also be read HERE

Why Dispute?

The Star Online 22 Feb 2010.
International Gathering of Muslim Experts to discuss caning of women.

KUALA LUMPUR: An international Islamic conference would be held soon to discuss whether it is the norm to cane Muslim women found guilty of committing offences under Syariah law.

Why do we have to dispute that is stipulated in the Quran. Laws of the Quran is the law from Allah SWT.
I am not surprise if its the Non Muslim who took the effort but regret the Muslim leaders are taking the lead.

MyKad to buy petrol

Are our Mykad ready to do that?
Using of credit card to purchase petrol should be the bechmark of going to MyKad for the same reason.
Did anyone ever had problem with the card machine Not Authorising your card and you have no cash in hand? What if there is a computer down situation?
What if you lost your Mykad and using the temporary piece of paper.
What if your MyKad is not readable due to damaged chip?
TPM Petronas station onced sealed the machine slot with cellophane tape to prevent consumer using credit card to purchase petrol.
Don't venture into technology unless we are 99% perfect.

Lawless Behavior of Motorist

Thats the headline in The Star.
Eventhough for JPJ Director he "thought he had seen it all — but no, some motorists still continue to surprise him with their reckless behaviour on the road." -The Star

For your information Datuk, all those are normal sights and practice on our road that motorist face daily on our "Malaysian Road".

He goes to say, “The JPJ needs the public’s help so that reckless drivers will not get away unpunished,” I remember there was a website a few years ago where the public sent photographs of motorist flouting the law but wonder how many offender were taken action on.

Now the public are asked to take photo of drivers flouting traffic law and send to aduan@jpj.gov.my

What if the photo was taken by a driver behind the wheel? He himself is committing an offence.

When JPJ receives photos more than they can handle, what will happen?

I remember last time when Grade A Government officer can book traffic offender. Do they have the authority to do so and under what clause?

Thing will never change unless the individual himself-herself change.

Two Gifts In A Day

It is very rare that you receive more than one gifts in a day. I had that exprience today. At the office, I receive a box from Reader's Digest and it was a gift for one of my entries to their contest. I have been receiving contest follow-ups from RD ever since I subscribed to the magazine and qualified for their RM 750,000 contest. From time to time, RD kept sending me follow-up forms that need me to take urgent action and send them back to the organiser. When I subscribed to RD I receive a wrist watch. Then I receive a thick cover fiction consisting of four selected edition tittle. Today RD sent me this sling bag.
Back home, I found another parcel in my mailbox. This parcel contained this black T. It is also a gift in return for me posting an advertisement by Nuraflah Enterprise. Thanks NE for honouring your promise.

No Money?

Last year there was no bonus  for Gov servants.
This year we hear that budget was cut.
Today Berita Hairan published that teachers attending courses will only be served with Nasi Bungkus and mineral water.
We are told the economy is stable and on the rise.
In the near future GST will be implemented.
But why budget cut here and there?
No money?

KLite Exodus, Ops Sikap, Lurking Dangers

Whenever one arrive back home from Kuala Lumpur during festive season nowadays, among the first question asked is "tak jam ke?". Highway being flooded with heavy traffic is not alien anymore especially on the eve of first holiday and last day of any national festivities or long weekends. Many blogger will blog about it. I have blogged about it and not worth blogging about the same thing.

However what I am going to post in this entry does not sway away from the festive season exodus of KLite. It is common every time the season came, there will be to Ops Sikap. I don't know what number is this Ops Sikap and most people (me inclusive) couldn't care less about the operation. Every time the operation came into effect, the number of accidents, deaths and summons will be highlighted. We are being told that there will be more police personnel on the road to take care of the Ops Sikap with the objective of reducing road fatalities and save life. I just don't understand what do they mean by more police personnel on the road because whenever I hit the highway, I hardly see any, either on their super bikes or patrol cars. Then there those lousy self interest bastard drivers zooming along the emergency laneswhen other drivers moving slowly in the queue and where are the police?

I use Route One on most stretches on my home bound to the North and also back to to KL. Reason : I have no money to pay for the toll and also as a protest lar........ Why pay toll when you are entering into the stress driving zone? Paying toll means getting a better journey and save time. But how do one get a better and fast journey when traffic is just a crawl. One will never have the opportunity to drive at the maximum speed of 110 Kmph. A normal 45 minutes journey from Bukit Lanjan to Tanjung Malim will take two hours and those bloody bastard drivers using the emergency lane makes the stress level raise.

This time around, I begin my journey using Route 1 beginning at 12.00 midnight from Batu Caves and I reached Alor Setar at about 10.00 a.m in the morning. Minus 4 hours of sleep at Padang Rengas Mosque, I still made an 8 hour journey and less than RM 20 for toll and its my normal travelling time. I would have taken a longer time if I were to use the PLUS highway all along at a crawling pace.

The authority should upgrade Route 1 to give alternative to road users and choose between using the highway or the Jalan Lama (like me). It's not the driver alone to be blame for road accidents. Road condition and adequate signages are one of the reasons for road accidents especially for night driving. Being a night user, I found out that the road condition is a bit dangeruous especially for once in a while drivers. You will not be aware of the turns unless one use the high beam but that will distract the oncoming driver. Dangeruous spots need to be properly marked with luminuous paint if not lighted. As an experience I missed a two feet high divider somewhere before the bridge if Sungai Kepayang before reaching Simpang Pulai. I only realise that there is a divider after passing it. There is no proper warning signage of the wide divider. If I were to hit it, my car could have turn turtle and worst still hit or run down by another user.

Somewhere along the stretch within the red circle is the about two feet divider that I missed at night.

No Help From AAM When I Needed It Most

It rained heavily in Sungai Besi two nights ago but when I return to Seri Petaling, the rain stopped and i decided to stop for supper at Restoran Mirasaa. I had a first worst  experience when my order for a roti canai did not arrive on my table. I was sitting facing the table where the Indian guy from I ordered was preparing the orders. He was preparing the tosai when I ordered a roti canai kosong. My teh o ais limau arrived, my sons Milo ais also arrived and my wife's capati arrived. I was watching the guy from whom I ordered busy preparing the orders. He too looked at me from time to time. However until I finished my drink, the roti canai I ordered did not arrive. Shit!

After paying for the food that came to our table, we left. Everybody entered the car and then I could not start the engine. All the lights on the panel are on but the starter did not click to get the engine running. After trying a few times, then I decided to call for help. First the mechanic who attended to my car and changing the starter about two months ago. He was at Genting Highlands. Then I called AAM. It was the Toll Free line.

A guy attended to my call. After taking all my particulars including location and nature of breakdown, then he only gave the answer that was not called for. He told me my AAM membership expired in 2005. True it expired in 2005. But when it expired, I did not renew it because I was made to understand that because I am a  AIG Insurance policy holder that I bought from AAM, I need not become a member. Fine. It was true, because when my car broke down a few times, I called AAM and they send me the mechanic. So being that AIG Insurance policy holder I bought from AAM they attended to my needs.

However on this night the guy told me that he can't send me a mechanic because I have no membership with AAM. I explain that I bough the insurance from them and from my previous expreince I still get the service from them  without becoming a AAM member. After all I am still their customer and being loyal with the insurance that AAM is the agent since 2000. I hold a comprehensive insurance cover eventhough my car is a 1991 Proton Saga and my had maximum NCB ever since.

The guy told me he can send the mechanic if I am willing to pay RM225 for membership. I did argue for sometime with him wasting my call credit and I promise him that I will change my insurance policy from AIG to another Insurance company when it expires in July this year. After all AIG is an American Company.

I had to leave the car overnight in front of the 24 hours restaurant. Safe uh? Yes very safe because it is just a few metres away from the big screen and diners always around.

PART II

The next morning I went to Seri Petaling to call a mechanic from the workshop barely 100 metres away from wher my car is. A guy came and inspect the problem. I had guessed its the starter and I was right. He tried to to some magic by knocking it and I tried to start but to no avail. He told me that I have to change the starter and I agreed because thats the only solution. He went back to his workshop and came back later to tell me that there is nobody to help push the car to the workshop and it has to be towed. The towing charge will be RM 80.00. SHIT!!. Towing the car for less than 100 metres cost RM 80.00. Cut throat mechanic.

Then I walk to my regular workshop two blocks away that I use to send my car for service. I came back with a mechanic and just in less that 1 minute he get my car's engine running using a direct connection from the battery to the starter. So I drive my car to the workshop for repair.

What I learn?
ONE - The first mechanic knew he could start the engine by direct connection but decided to rob me with the towing charges and think I am a stupid guy to fall into his trap.
TWO - Don't panic and think loud before making your decision when in trouble.
THREE - Its so easy for thieves to drive away a car whenever he can open the door.

I got my car fixed.

Don't Take Off Your Undies

..................on Valentine's Day.
Thats the advice from an NGO in Butterworth, Penang. The  advice is in relation to the upcoming "Festival of Love" (its my interpretation) or Valentine's Day. It's just round the corner.

The Star Online report that an NGO is going up in arms against Valentine's Day and a plan to get a group of students to go without panties on that day.

There is no harm to celebrate the day as a show of love to so someone special to you but it is not a passport for free sex. I don't think celebrating Valentine's means baring all and giving all. We have our moral values that  has to be upkeep.

For Muslims, Valentine's day should NOT be celebrated because its not one of the practice of the religion. Love is an every moment affair and why just allocate just one day of the year to confess it to your lover. Its just my two cents view.
