This weekend will see the kick off another International soccer event Euro 08 in Switzerland. It will be another 3 weeks of sleeping late and coming to work half sleepy. Most discussion topics will be about the matches previously played. Mamak stalls who have big screen will be packed with fans cheering their teams and it will be a brisk business for these stalls. Mamak! teh tarik cannot discount ka?.The opening match will be between Switzerland as host against Czech Republic to be played at St. Jakob Park, Basel. The second match will be between Portugal and Turkey in Geneva. Both matches are from Group A.
Usually every international event will be accompanied with souvenir magazines and I think this Euro 08 will also be the same. A browse at magazine stalls, I just see not many mags about this event. One of them is from All Sports and another, A Chinese publication. However due to financial constraint, I just bought a pocketbook guide as a souvenir.
