So has kissing in public has been an OK practice in Malaysia? Maybe in Islam Hadhari it is not considered 'obscene' for a man to kiss a women in public as long as both are legally married. An example has been set by non other than our first man and lady YAB the PM. A picture of him kissing his wife in public was posted and I know it is being distributed in blogs. because definitely the mainstream media will not publish it. Bad for election.
Before it was the Deputy PM's wife with a Bollywood star at Bukit Jalil. Maybe many still remember the incident caught on pic that happen during the monsoon cup in Terengganu? That time our beloved PM was still single and had his hand on Datin Michelle Yeoh's bare shoulder.

Rocky's Bru blog post this; - the PM gives lensemen this rare display of affection for wife Jean (pronounced Jean) Danker.
A peck for political expediency? I don't know but some 6,000 people witnessed the romantic moment and there's a forum taking place at KMU debating this peck and the Datin's peck.
Next time you walk in the city or any shopping complex, just give your wife a peck to show that you really love her and witnessed by people around you. It might be 'quite' normal if it is in KL but try doing it in Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu or one of the FELDA towns.
Giving a peck to your spouse will be another new culture in this multi racial Malaysia. This is what we call liberalisation and social development.
