To Ban IsTo Encourage

Alcohol is forbidden for Muslims because it can lead to other sins or make the drinker loose his consciense. Lately the issue of banning the sales on alcoholic drink in Muslim majority area has been an issue discussed and debated in many blogs and even in physical medias.

I am a Muslim and I don't take alcohol and I don't drink. I join friends who go and consume beer and and smoke. But still I don't take beer or smoke. So its oneself's will to obey the rules. It all goes back to individual desires. Like the Malay saying "Kalau hendak seribu daya, kalau tak hendak seribu dalih"

We live in a multi racial and multi religion soceity with multi lifestyle. When Muslims are forbidden of consuming alcoholic drink other religion might not do so. So its unfair for them not to have access to those beverages. If we say Muslim majority areas, it doesn't mean there are no non Muslims, unless its a 100% Muslim area. For Non Muslim who live in a Muslim majority areas, have their rights too and not be deprived of. So to ban sales of alcoholic drinks totally will not be a good move.

Screenshots have a nice posting HERE.

Personally I see this issue of alcoholic drinks goesback to oneself which means education. If you yourself do not want to drink it, even if you are lying on a bed of alcoholic drink, you will not drink it. Just remember that people will do things that are forbidden because this was promised by iblis to Allah.
