The Travellers Notebook

About a month ago I accompany a friend to Low Yatt Plaza to buy a notebook. He bought a Asus EeePC. Its a mini notebook running on Linux platform.

Then saw a posting on kennysia about his new HP mini. Today The Star InTech carry an article about the HP mini.

Of course I have the intention of owning a mini PC for ease of traveling and access the internet on the move since I travel on my job. Carrying a small and light notebook makes life easier and what more with laptop theft very common, a smaller notebook will stick better to the owner. I mean a smaller carrying case which is easier to carry either on the back (backpack) or sling bag.

A salesman at Low Yatt tries to impress my friend (when he buys the Asus), its an alternative to the PDA which cost more.

For bloggers and people on the move, I think a mini notebook is much easier to carry and work with. Of course it cannot perform as excellent as a desktop but its mobility is what counts.
