After the price increase for petrol and diesel, next comes the eletricity tariff. Will water follow next?

The new electricity tariff structure for Peninsular Malaysia.

NEW ELECTRIC TARIFFF IN PENINSULAR MALAYSIA (EFFECTIVE 1 JULY 2008)

Domestic Tariff:

Usage between 0 to 400kWh

• First 200kWh (1-200kWj) monthly 21.8sen/kWh
• Next 200kWh (201-400kWj) monthly 34.5sen/kWh
  Minimum Charge monthly RM3

Total usage exceeding 400kWh

• First 500kWh (1-500kWj) monthly 30.0sen/kWh
• Next 100kWh (501-600kWj) monthly 39.0sen/kWh
• Next 100kWh (601-700kWj) monthly 40.0sen/kWh
• Next 100kWh (701-800kWj) monthly 41.0sen/kWh
• Next 100kWh (801-900kWj) monthly 43.0sen/kWh
• Setiap kWj berikutnya (901kWj ke atas) monthly 46.0sen/kWh

Low voltage commercial Tariff:

Usage between 0 to 200kWh

• For All kWh 38.0sen/kWh

Minimun Monthly Charge RM7.20

Total Usage exceeding 200kWh

• All kWh (from 1kWh and above) 40.8sen/kWh

Minimum Monthly Charge RM7.20

Medium General Voltage Commercial Tariff:

• For every maximum kilowatt a month RM24.60/kW
• For all kWh 29.6sen/kWh

Minimum monthly charge RM600.00
