This is my second time this month I am facing a problem with my Streamyx. It happened last week after the thunderstorm when I couldn't get logged on to the internet. The problem persist for two days and I thought it was my modem that is not working. But my computer show that I am connected to the network at 11.0 Mbps. I am using ADSL WiFi modem. I tried my Netgear modem that I bought a month ago but still the problem exist. As usual from past experience, I shut down the modem, unplug all cables, wait for three minutes (Streamyx Technicians told me before). Then plug in all cables again and switch on. Still the same. Instead of using the splitter I tried connecting directly to the wall socket. Same. Gosh!.
As usual the last resort is turn to TMnet for their so call expertise. After all the routine waiting and listening to pre recorded advertisement I was connected to the technician. After relating my problem, I was told that their terminal showed that there is no problem with my connection. So I was asked to follow the usual routine as I had written above. After the problem can't be solved, she asked me to take my modem to any computer shop and have my modem be released of its auto connect.
However before I can take my modem as advised, I tried my luck again at after a few hours and viola!!! I am connected to the internet again.

Last night while I was surfing suddenly I get this Server not found message. Checked my connection status and it register 1.0 Mbps which means it is as good as no connection. Switch off the modem and reswitch it on again and the connection is back to 11.0 Mbps but still I can't get logged on to the internet. Now it is already a day and still I can't get logged on. So I turn to my unreliable Celcom 3G broadband connection. How come Celcom say they are good. It is as slow as an old camel in the desert. Worse than a dial up.
The problem I think is not with my modem but somewhere along the line from my modem to the exchange at TMnet.
Anyone with some solution?
