Jeff!, Drive a Merc And You Are Safe

Blogger and MP Jeffooi's car was towed away due to 'illegal'' parking outside the parliament house. Hw drove a proton wira borrowed from his wife and did not have the MP emblem and did not park the car inside because of the parking lots within the Parliament compound were full. So, he is an MP, drive a Proton Wira. Thats OK. He parked the car outside the parliament compound and is his car the only one parked there? I don't think so and there must be many more care parked at the same area. If he was instructed by the police to park outside due to lack of parking space inside, definitely there are many more cars parked outside too. Were those cars towed away too, nothing has been mentioned in the news. Or Jeff's car was towed away because he is the odd one out? The other cars that were spared are luxury cars owned by the MPS (?)

Talking about luxury cars and orang kampong cars, I had an experience on the same offend. My brother who is an engineer borrowed my 1991 Proton Saga to attend the EIM dinner. Since parking space is not available within the compound he had to park the car outside with other cars and my Proton Saga was sandwiched by two Mercz in front and at the back. Both the owner attend the same dinner too.

When my brother came out, he found the car was clamped but the Mercz behind and in front were spared. When my brother asked the officer at the compound office why the double standard, the officer told him that they too were clamped but had settled the compound payment. However when my brother asked both the owners who are his friends too, they told him that they were not issued any ticket for illegal parking at that spot. So the officers at the compound office were bluffing and the officer who issued the ticket is selective and did not perform his/her duty as being entrusted.

The morale is: If you drive a luxury car and commit traffic offend the chances are that you can get away scott FREE. The law enforcers are afraid to issue summons on them because they might be somebody even if the driver is just a rich office boy. There is double standard when imposing the law and selective on the part of the authority especially the enforcement lower rank or no rank officers. This is Malaysia Boleh.

Sebagai alternattif,

emblem itu sepatutnya boleh dicabut dan dipindahkan ke kereta lain

am really fed up with the double standard in our own country. Why don't the people who "execute" their duties have the same mentality as their western counterpart? the bigger car you drive, the bigger amount of summon you will face. I believe the executor themselves are not driving any of the big cars.
