I received an e mail about food additives as E-codes. According to Wikipedia E numbers are number codes for food additives and are usually found on food labels throughout the European Union. The numbering scheme follows that of the International Numbering System (INS) as determined by the Codex Alimentarius committee.
These are the suspicious E-Codes that was listed in the e-mail I receive and reminding Muslims about the code that was accused to represent pig by product in food.

The email relates the E-Code to food associated with non halal ingredient derives from pig products. How far the allegation is true, I leave it to the intelligence of readers. However for Muslims, food and every product they use is a very sensitive issue when it concern the halal status. When it comes to the issue of halal, it doesn't mean only pig and its byproduct. It can even be from cow, chicken, goat etc. if they are not slaughtered in the name of Allah and following the guideline stipulated by Muslim law in the process of slaughtering the animals.
For Muslim consuming and using halal product is a serious matter. So it must not be an issue for non muslims when muslims raise doubt about certain product of food.
