Malaysias numero uno singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza celebrated her 29th birthday at the Le Meridian poolside in Kuala Lumpur yesterday (11th January 2008 / 2nd Muharram 1429). I am not going to wirte much about her birthday since most if not all entertainment magazine in Malaysia will carry news and pictures of her birthday celebration. Why I blog this is that the changes in Siti where she wear a tudung which is mandatory for Muslim women. Muslim women are only allowed to show her face and palm only as ordered by god, Allah Azzawajalla. Eventhough todays women and mostly teenagers wear tudung or headscarves due to trend and fashion but that will lead towards fulfillment of religious obligation later.
The changes in Datuk Siti is hope will encourage more Muslim women to wear a tudung to cover their hair since one of the reason why women is being tortured in the afterworld (kiamat) is exposing their hair to those not suppose to see .
