Two Million For a Bad Memory

RM2 million project to mark the mightmares that happended in 2004 claiming 11 lives and made 4000 people homeless. That much just for a "monument" at what scale I don't know. As a layman I don't know what is going to be built. Why spend so much on something which I think can't benefit the 4,000 victims. Such a big scale project as memories for 4000 people out of 25 million of Malaysia's population. Who says the government does not have money when they can spend lavishly on unnecessary projects just to feast to the eye besides keeping some friends companies making money. The Malay proverb saya, "Tepuk Dada Tanya Selera" A direct translation (pat your chest ask your appetite).
