Leaving 2007

Year 2007 is coming to an end. Just like a ritual, most individuals will make a new year wish be busy making new resolution for the coming year. What about this years resolution? Achieved, partly achieved or not achieved? What ever it is life must go on. For me I never made any resolution, just don't know why. And this coming year also there will be no resolution for me.

Two more days I will be celebrating my 53rd birthday and OMG, I am getting old. On that date, 18th December, I have another 3 years exactly another 3 years to work before retirement. Am I going to retire? That is my compulsory retirement. The government might raise the retirement age a few years, but maybe I am not interested to extend my service.

At 56 I hope I am still healthy and I can do some other work to compensate half of what I am going to get a my pension. So if, god willing, I can secure some contract post with government, I can get more than what I am getting now. So, then why not I extend my service and serve the country a few more years. The main reason is that  my salary have reached the ceiling and starting 2008 there is no more yearly increment for me. I am not looking forward to any promotion because I hate sitting for the PTK exam when there is still quotas of who can pass and who must not pass the exam. Another reason is that I really hate my head of unit who is a show off and think that everything that other people do is not right.

What have I achieved in 2007? I became a serious blogger. Now I am leaving my footprint in cyber space. I hope I can make some extra money using my blog and I had made my first buck with viewmalaysia. I am also making some extra money with nuffnang and advertlets.
