On 25 November the day Hindraff go to the streets to fight for the cause of the Indian community in Malaysia, a new political party purportedly to represent the Indians was formed by Datuk K.S. Nallakaruppan, a former Vice President of PKR. He is the new party president and not sure when was the AGM for the election of office bearers. What was a surprise is the new party is registration is approved (?) so fast compared to other applications. Is it because MUIP want to subsrcibe to BN's policy for the fast approval? BN will have a new brother now.
"MIUP will always support the BN and not go against its policies as my team and I believe that we can achieve our aims by working with the BN," he said at the launch of the party, also known as Parti Bersatu India Malaysia, at a hotel, here and attended by about 600 people.
So there is another party to represent the Indians in Malaysia. There is already MIC, then PPP and now MUIP. The of objectives of MUIP was to elevate the status of and empower the Malaysian Indian community. Is it? or just aiming for a Ministerial post because to get the post a politician must be a BN member and president of a political party. In PKR, definitely the opportunity to become a minister is very very slim. Now we are going to have MIC, IPF, PPP and MUIP ... four parties to solve the problem of 7% of the population.
Will MIC and PPP accept another rival in BN and jeapordise their position as the breadwinner for the Indian community in the government.
A comment on 3540 Jalan Sudin reads;
If you cannot become a leader in a party that you are currently in, go form another party and lead it.
Just because he was not appointed as a candidate for Ijok, he got merajuk and now form a new party.
