It is an honour to have a Malaysian born to be elected as Minister in Australia. The women Penny Wong Ying Yen who was born in Sabah and grown up in Australia was elected as Minister of Climate Change and Water .
Climate change and water, including Kyoto, the carbon trading scheme and the integration of mandatory renewable energy targets will be the responsibility of senator Penny Wong, while Peter Garrett will be in charge of environment and heritage, with a specific role for implementing solar energy programs.
