Another Raja Bahrin Story?

In 1992, Raja Bahrin Shah abducted his son and daughter from his former wife Ian Gillespie after fighting a losing war with the Australian Family Court. Raja Bahrin successfully bring back his kids after travelling thousands of miles across the Australian Continent and then braving the gruelling sea to Timor. He and his kids arrive safely back to Malaysia.

Today Harian Metro and Kosmo front paged another same plot of story whereby a brave mother abducted her son from Pakistan and bring him back safely to Malaysia. The mother, Siti Nadzirah Mohd Nasir, 20, took a brave action to bring back her son, Arman Faizal, who was 'kept' by her former Pakistani husband, Fazal Amin, whom she married legally in Malaysia. The story of Arman Faizal was highlighted in Harian Metro on 10th August 2007 after the child was 'kidnapped' by her father-in-law when they visited them in Pakistan. The father-in-law threaten to shoot her if she wanted to take the child back.

Siti Nadhirah took the action after trying to get back her son legally through the court in Pakistan seems to fail.

It was reported that the "abduction" party left Pakistan through Lahore by air via Dubai and Singapore to Kuala Lumpur.

Morale of the story: Think twice before falling in love with a foreigner and end up in marraige. We find that from time to time, local girls are tempted with the looks of foreign men especially South Asian for their handsome look and "hidung mancung" that melts her heart.

Why do you all look at the world from our own glasses. I am a Pakistani who is married with Singaporean Malay wife. We have a three years old son, who is currently studying here in Karachi. My wife just gave birth to our second son in Karachi. We are all happy. But such one off instances create such a bad impression in people's mind that they do not want to venture into where their heart take them. I can quote the example of several of our family friends who are married to foreigners and are currently living in Karachi. So whats the big deal!
