Travel - Kuching 2007 Day Two

Day two

Today I had class the whole day and it is 5 hours of lecturing. Five hour talking while I am fasting and at the end of the day I thank god, I manage to deliver my trade. However in between slight cough. I still have not recovered totally since two weeks ago.

In the evening after my class, I took a walk towards the Waterfront again, first to check my bank account for my September pay which is one day late. Transferred some money into Maybank and some to my son in Kedah. How easy to transfer money nowadays. I still remember when I was serving in Sabah in the 70s, whenever I need money from my father he has to TT (Telegraphic Transfer) the money an it takes a few day before I get the money. But now its just a matter of seconds.

Took a sampan (Pak Tambang) across to Kampung Boyan because I saw from across the river some happenings. The fare across is just 40 cents (I think so) but I give the man extra just as a donation to him. This is the fasting month and Muslims are encouraged to donate to the needy.

Across it is just a pasar Ramadhan. However its not as intense as other pasar Ramadhan somewhere else, maybe due to the small population in the area. Bought currypuff and Malay cake for breaking the fast. Decided to break the fast at one of the stalls beside the river. Restoran Pak Lah Boyan. I had iced lemon tea and Nasi Goreng Enjin. It’s a bit hot fried with chicken and chillies.
