Today I am back in Kuala Lumpur after spending 5 days in Bandar Seri Begawan. Lest BSB on Royal Brunei at 2.20 pm on flight BI 873 and arrived KLIA at 4.45 pm.
The plane was an Airbus A 319. Upon check in I was given seat 49H and looking at the alphabet H I knew it was an aisle seat which is not my favourite. The number 49 made me think it was a wide bodied aircraft. However it is not and they have just six seats abreast. I just wonder how do they number the seats because on seat 49 H it was on row 16 of the economy class. Maybe RBA have their own ways of numbering the seat. After all that does in amy way affect the comfort of the flight.
RBA's first flight was on 14 April 1975 from the brand new Brunei International Airport to Singapore. The airline was born in November 1974. I still remember those day when RBA was born I was working in Sabah.
The seat on the aicraft provide more space compared on the Boeing 737 of MAS. I am not degrading my own national airline by saying this but I am giving out my view as a passenger who has flown on both airlines and also on Airasia.
As the plane is ready to take off, a pre recorderd doa was played to bless the journey. It is sunnah for Muslims to recite the doa for everything they do to get the blessing from Allah The Almighty. Do they do that on MAS? No!!!.
I am comparing the airlines of two nation both having Islam faith as the way of life. Both Brunei and Malaysia preach Islam but there is a different between them. Brunei is preaching Islam and Malaysia promoting Islam Hadhari. Comparing the two, I felt a shamed when we are trying to create something new but the way of life gets worse than when we preach just Islam and not the new Islam Hadhari.
Stewardess on RBA wears a tudung to cover hair, and no alcoholic drink served on board and only friut juice. how nice to travel on an airline that promote the Islamic way of life. I am just wondering when will MAS change from a normal airline to an airline that promote the Islamic teaching. Looking forward to the time when no alcoholic drinks are served on an airline of a country that practice Islam Hadhari.
There are talks that MAS stewardess looks sexy because their sarong at times splits up to the thigh if they take a longer step or wind helps to lift the sarong. And if one sits on the aisle on board, most of the time one can see whats behind their kebaya if she squats to take of keep the tray on the trolley. Well, men's eyes are quick at such opportunities. So does that means me also? Well, I am a man too. No comment.
Today on board I requested for a nasi goreng, Thai style. Thai style? Oh, Thai style on RBA. Hmmmm....
