I posted a blog about Nasi Lemak before this and what I want to follow up in this blog is about an egg. Yes!! an egg. Its about the picture of an egg depicted in the picture on the article about Nasi Lemak in MAS Inflight magazine, Going Places. I am not sure whether they spotted (I think they do) that the egg in the picture has two yolk. Or they purposely use the picture of the egg with two yolk for some difference. Its a bit rare to find eggs with two yolk so this picture must be very special.To some people it is something superstitious.

Yes, you don't see eggs with two yolk everyday.However, I have come across them about 4 to 5 times before and wouldn't eat it.Don't know why,the idea of eating it makes me uncomfortable. I am pretty sure it is harmless.

I am the one responsible for the making, styling and photographing of the nasi lemak. I also photographed most of the other pages for the Going Places Merdeka special.
The only story behind the the egg is this: it was the first one to be cut open from a dozen of hard boiled eggs. Seeing that it was a double yolk I took it to be the sign that this is the egg would be a star.
(It also tasted rather alright along with some rice and sambal).

I have seen eggs with two egg yolks but there are very few around. It's interesting to note what cause it to happen.
Nasi lemak makes me hungry. One egg yolk or double egg yolk is not important. Asalkan it's nasi lemak, I'm eating it with the nasi and sambal anyway. Come and visit my blog and see how I sigh about makan roti dan daging sampai jelak.
