What I Found at Curtin
I have updated one blog this morning and while browsing through Curtin Universitiy of Technology website I found this. Sexology Program on the world stage. (Alamak, of all the tittles, I spotted this one). I'm not aware that there is such formal program to study about sex. Mentioning sexology, to most people especially Malaysians here is considered a taboo even though sex is human basic needs. I use to come across Kinsey's study about human sexuality and my cousin who went to the states brought back the book by Alfred Kinsey about sex and sexuality.

Oh my........maybe someone reading this blog might be asking what is this guy writing about the topic of sex. Alo...I am an adult la. To me sex is not a dirty word. We do not discuss this subject because we think of the negative aspects of sex when sex is actually basic needs. So when I dicsuss this topic, please don't misunderstood me to be a sex maniac. Lets put it as something educational. So, sometimes ago when our Education Minister mention about sex education is school, it doesn't mean that the minister is also a sex maniac.
I remember once when I was At Awana Resort in Genting Highland, a young lady (think a university student) approach me. I was with my wife. Wow, a pretty young lady have the courage to approach a man who is with his wife. In my mind how nice if my wife was not with me that time (LOL). Well, she asked me whether I am open minded if she ask me about sex education (a young lady going to ask me about sex? fuyoooo). I told her I am an adult and I don't mind that and at the same time look at my wife with the side of my eye. (Takut nanti wife cubit oooooo.......). She asked me about my view of introducing sex education in schools. Well, I agree but the curriculum must suit our society and mentality. Nobody dares discuss sexual matters openly (shy la) (or afraid branded as sex pervert).
According to Sexology Program Leader, Dr Gareth Merriman, the Program is about taking the study of sexology beyond the traditional scope of human reproduction and sexual health.
“The study of love, sexual emotions, human relationships, human sexual response, criminal sexual behaviour, sexual function, sexual pleasure and fulfilment, have been relatively recent endeavours in the scientific study of sexology,” - Sexology Program Leader, Dr Gareth Merriman.
So if you think you want to join the program read more here. Don't get mad at me. Just giving information.
