Lesson About IT

Among the must do activities whenever I log in to the internet is check my email, read online newspapers and read blogs. It is a routine for me immediately upon arrival to my desk at the office, I will switch on my desktop computer and check my mails. I have Yahoo and G mail which I use more instead of my official office email. I will read mStar, Berita Harian, Utusan Online, The Star, NST , Harian Metro, Malay Mail, Harakahdaily and sometimes Malaysia Today too. Therefore I seldom buy physical edition of the prime newspaper and save at least about RM5.00 a day.

Besides online newspapers I also surf blogs and a must read blog is none other than Screenshots. I found screenshots and get addicted to the blog when the Tsunami hit Acheh, Penang, Kuala Muda, Phuket and the Indian continent shore. That time a friend of mine who was in Phuket sent the article to screenshots relating his experience at the Tsunami hit tourist spot in Thailand.

However yesterday I can't log into screenshot and thought it has something to do with our office server but the puzzle is I can still surf other websites. Then during the night only did I know the reason and Jeff himself clarify that his website was under attack. Reading the blog now I learn something about cyberwarfare DDoS attack which before this only knew the terminology hackers and hacking of websites.

What does the experience means? I think it might be related to his blogs exposing the SMS Scams and the series of incident might be traceable to that source. Before this he wrote about another blog,. www.antijeffooi.com.
