The Star today reports that International Trade and Industry Ministry is going to bring Kelantan into the mainstream of development. The bait is tax exemption for entrepreneur who start operation in Kelantan. Whether it is just an election promise or not we will have to wait and see. It has been long overdue that the Federal government give the same privilege as other states since Kelantan is also part of Malaysia and they salute the same king.
When Kelantan is lacking behind in terms of development, the Federal government accuses that PAS led government is incapable of administrating the state. The incapability is actually created by BN not Islam.
Wednesday is another doomsday for Islam id Lina Joy wins the case. If she wins then Islam, the official religion as stated in the constitution, will be just a mockery. And again I as a Muslim will blame UMNO for what happens.
