Today is the Malay Mail Big Walk 2006-2007 at Dataran Merdeka. The biggie has a long history dating back to 1960. For me its my first entry and thanks to my organisation for shortlisting my name to participate. It was an event that create excitement the moment I step down from the bus and saw a very big crowd already eager waiting for the gun.
The biggie draws participants from all walks of life ranging from babies on prams and golden years citizen. Therefore the slogan 'If They Can Walk, Why Can't You' fits the event. Supports from VIPs and celebrities glitter the event very memorable. It shows their support for charity.
It rains earlier that night and helps make the Sunday morning more comfortable for the event. However the finishing is a bit of an anti climax where participants have to dip their running (I mean walking) shoes in soggy and muddy Padang Merbok. Or else you will not get your certificate.

Even spastic children on wheelchair join in the fun. Then who says you can't walk. They can walk why can't you
Top: What I saw during the walk. This is my position.
Top: Lining up and waiting for the goodies
Bottom: This is what my shoe looks like after the walk. If my shoes are clean then it means I did not finish my race.
