Car Wash For Charity - 13 & 14 Dec 08

Wanna do some charity? Here's a chance for you good samaritans. All Malaysia Blogger Project (AMBP) will be organising a car wash for Hospis Malaysia. This programme is in collaboration with Star-Motoring called Splashing Charity Car Wash. The event will be held at Leo Auto Services (Kia Service Centre) located along Old Klang Road on Dec 13 & 14.

Hospis Malaysia was established in 1991, and has since grown to become the largest hospice in Malaysia in terms of the number of patients it accepts each year. They accept any patient with a life limiting illness, which may be anything from cancer, AIDS, motor neurone disease or multiple sclerosis. However most cases that are referred are those with advanced cancer.

The programme:

Date:
13 & 14 December (Saturday and Sunday) 2008

Time:
Dec 13: 8.00am – 4.00pm
Dec 14: 8.00am – 2.00pm

Location:
Leo Auto Services (Kia Motor Services)
201, Batu 4, Jalan Kelang Lama,
58000 Kuala Lumpur

Donors?

Donors can contribute by buying a ticket (worth RM20), from Hospis Malaysia at 03-9133 3936 or 016- 318 3822. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event. By purchasing a ticket, the bearer is entitled to the following services:

  • Car wash and vacuum on the above dates
  • A FREE 18 point inspection
  • FREE labour for cars that carry out Engine Oil & Oil Filter Replacement

For further enquiries please call 03-7967 1388 ext 1118 (Michael), or ext 1104 (Andy), or leave a comment at the AMBP Editor's Note.

Bloggers?

Bloggers can become volunteer and will be assigned to certain tasks on the day(s) in question, including getting your hands dirty (or rather, clean), washing cars.

Volunteers will receive a goodie bag, and be eligible to enter the special Lucky Draw. Light refreshments will also be provided.

One other way you can help is by getting the word out. Write about it on your blog. Tell your friends and family about it. Go stand in the middle of a busy shopping mall, get everyone's attention and announce it. Just don't get arrested for trying to be a good samaritan.
