After the PM announced that cash rebate will be given for road tax renewal for cars below 2000cc and pickup trucks below 2500cc. It also includes motorcycle below 2500 cc.
However till today there are still many car and motorcycle owners are still in the dark of the claim process.
Some points I picked up from news reports and blogs.
- Owner has to present himself at the post office to make claims.
- He/she has to fill in claim forms and bring along your Mykad.
- Cash rebate is only for renewal for 12 months of road tax. A 6 month renewal is not eligible.

mStar today carry a report : Pos Malaysia jelas prosedur tuntut rebat.
What I picked up from the online paper.

they can claim the cash rebate even if owner is not there but check or something well be sent to owner registered address of the car.
"A 6 month renewal is not eligible." i think this is very unfair, as those will renew 6 months are mostly poor people, aren't the rebate supposed to help them to reduce the burden?
I agree Sherry, after all the rebate is a one off payment.
