Words has been going round that the opposition led by DSAI has got the support to form the new government and are going to defect to Barisan Rakyat. After all those sensation and the country is waiting eagly when the BN will topple, the first casualty has cropped up. And that id due to the professionalism approach by Barisan Rakyat. Penang CM appointed Datuk Lee Kah Choon to head one of the major state department in the Pearl of the Orient that is Penang Development Corporation (PDC) director and InvestPenang Executive Committee Chairman. This appointment has been unacceptable to BN generally and Gerakan specifically.
DAP now has shown its professional approach by showing BN that to run a country it takes everybody's effort as opposed to BNs policy that only BN leaders know how to run a country. The effort to elect opposition leaders by the government should be viewed positively.
Reacting to the appointment, Gerakan has asked Datuk Kah Choon to show cause why he accepted the offer which in the end lead to a loss again to Gerakan when the former resign from the party. Is it not a loss?. When the BN as opposition has been given an opportunity to share the administration they just throw it into the drain. This show that BN component parties are just having a childish mentality and arrogant.
Today The Star reports another Gerakan leader has been offered to another major role in Penang. "Former Bukit Tambun assemblyman Lai Chew Hock (pic) was appointed vice-chairman of the Penang International Dragon Boat Festival (PIDBF) earlier this month.

State Tourism Development, Culture, Arts and Heritage Committee chairman Danny Law Heng Kiang, who is the festival committee chairman, explained that Lai's appointment was a non-political matter.- The Star
Let us hope that more and more opposition leaders been appointed to government's post ans see how many professionals are there in BN.
