Penang Government Go Paperless Too

After The Star reported of a paperless Kedah Government, Malaysia Today also posted an article that Penang is also going paperless. In this case going paperless does not mean everything is to be done online and the government just work with a computer or laptop and an internet connection.

In Kedah "There is not a single paper left in all the offices. We view this very seriously because the documents belong to the executive council, not to any individual.

In Penang "
The new state executive councillors (excos) started their first week in office to govern with a clean sheet, literally.

They found their offices cleared of all government documents and minutes of the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) government. All records of projects, completed or current, approved by the previous government are missing.

Everybody will ask why the previous Excos cleared away official files and documents. There must be some "secret" within the minutes and file contents which can be used as evidence.

Now that the Perak MB has been sworn in, are we going to see the new coalition government going paperless too? In Perak there is so much sufficient time to clear away all the documents from the offices.

We use to hear the government said before, "Work for the government of the day." So lets see whether they kept their promise to work for the government of the day.
