It is natural that every living things on earth will at one point face death. Nothing is immortal in this world except Allah the Almighty. Why all of a sudden I post this blog? It is after reading an article in the Malay Mail about a man, Jacky Ho regretting for the rest of his life after buying supplements for his ailing father, believing that supplement can cure him after being diagnosed with clogged artery.
“When my 70-year-old father was diagnosed with the clogged artery on
Jan 1, I sent him to seek treatment at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
Hospital.- the Malay Mail. It is wise of him to take the responsibility by seeking treatment at a hospital for a more scientific diagnosis. By taking him to the hospital and get diagnosed is just one of the many possibilities of treatment. However a doctor too is not the one who decides who will survive or who will die, except Allah the Almighty. He is a good son.
As a son, he did not want to see his father suffer, so he tried his best to find an alternative form of treatment. - the Malay Mail. This is also another good deed and effort of a loyal son. If it is fated by Allah that one can be cured by alternatives treatment even if it is traditional, then the patient will be cured. Many believe that medicine is something that is compatible with somebody but not with another. Most believe in matching between the patient and the medicine.
“My father might still be alive if he did not take the supplements. Now
everyone is blaming me. I hope people will be more cautious and not
make the same mistake I did.- the Malay Mail. You are wrong Jacky. What if after taking the supplement, your father gets better?
“You must get confirmation from approved organisations and doctors or
ensure the products have the approval from the Food and Drug
Administration.-the Malay Mail.I agree that getting the right prescription from an authorised outlet is better than buying from the street vendor. I am sure at one time or another, we meet penjual ubat on five foot ways of lorongs promoting their cure all medicine, most of which are home-made and without any scientific preparation.
“If you suffer any kind of illness, you must continue to see the
doctor for proper advice and do not neglect your hospital treatments.”-the Malay Mail.
I am not blogging about this to sidethe any direct selling companies or their dealers. As Jacky had mentioned he bought supplements to help his father from further suffering but one thing he is ignorant is, supplement does not heal sickness. Supplements only boost things and it is not an overnight does not achieve results overnight.
So Jacky Ho, you must not regret at what you have done but praise yourself that you have done something to help your father but was not successful.
However, on March 6, two months after taking the supplements, Ho’s father died after a heart attack.-the Malay Mail. Two month is a short time for any supplement to take effects. Now why must you take the responsibilities for his death. Remember, even if he continued with his hospital treatment it is not a guarantee that he will survive. Everybody will have to face death when the time comes.
