How To Choose Your Leader

The election has been fixed for 8th Mac 2008. Now its our responsibility to choose our leaders who will lead us into the next five years. Choosing the wrong leaders who have more self interest rather than serve the community will make us more miserable. It enough of miserables we are facing and now its up to your hand to pick the right leaders. As a Muslim you will be asked by Allah in the afterworld who you choose as your leader? So it is our responsibility not to choose leaders who are liars, hypocrites, have self interest etc. because we are liable for what we chose.

Harakahdaily posted the view of an Islamic scholar tips and guidance on how to choose a leader.

Excerpts from Harakahdaily (in Bahasa Malaysia)

Their Prophet said, "God has appointed Saul as a king for you." They replied, "How can he dominate us when we deserve more to be king than he. Besides, he does not have abundant wealth." Their Prophet said, "God has chosen him as your ruler and has given him physical power and knowledge. God grants His authority to anyone whom He wants. God is Provident and All-knowing. (2:247)]

Its our responsibility to elect our representative as stipulated by Allah.
