So another political figure has been assassinated and the assassins must be laughing rolling on the floor when the Dr. announced his resignation from all governmental post and party post.
Mr Minister Dr Chua has taken the right decision because his image as a public figure, a national leader and most importantly a Minister in an Islam Hadhari goverment (irrespective whether he is Muslim of not) has been marred and tarnished. His admitting that the 'actor' is himself does not solve the problem or make the rakyat pardon him. Wrong is wrong. Sex in Malaysia is not as free as in the west. He is a Health Minister and should be preaching a healthy lifestyle but practicing otherwise. One of the characteristic of healthy lifestyle and has been echoed by the Kementerian Kesihatan is be faithful to the legal partner.
A man is always a man and many men are just like cat and fish. Leave your fish unattended and the cat will be eying for the fish. Many men do have some fun outside without the knowledge of the spouse but it is unlucky for the Dr. that his action has been caught on video. He is just one of those men (normal layman or public figure) that has been marked with an X (remember P.Ramlee's Ali Baba Bujang Lapok) as the one to be assasinated politically and as the whole nation had seen over television news bulettin, it is planned. Definitely there is someone (the invisible Director) who ordered (the production crew) to plant the CCTV.
I see Dr Chua's resignation as a gentleman who admitted to his own mistakes and resign himself. There many more political figure out there whom most Malaysian know of his/their sex involvement but being camouflaged just like covering an elephant carcass with a 'penyiru' (sorry, I don't know the name in English, anyone can help?). The rakyat knew.
One political figure assasinated.
