Tonight I loose 3 cents at Carrefour Seri Petaling. Three cents? What's the fuss all about? Just 3 cents only la. I am not going to be a millionaire with just that three cents.
I am making a mountain out of a molehill? No. To all ordinary people one cents or like me three cents is nothing. You can't become a pauper with losing that three cents.
Of course not. Lets put ourselves in the shoes of of the businessman (in this case Carrefour). I loose three cents but Carrefour gets three cents out of thin air which means they are making three cents more profit with no capital. What if on a day an average of 4 thousand shoppers (definitely more and this is just my assumption)did not get back their one cent, it means Carrefour Seri Petaling makes a blind profit (in Bahasa Malaysia untung buta- LOL)of 4 thousand cents. How much is that? Sorry I am weak in Mathematics (my Maths teacher was tranfered before I was taught to multiply. If one day they make 4,000 cents out of thin air just imagine their profit in a month. (4,000 x 30 days average). All these without any capital involve.
Come April 2008, one cent coins will be abolished but will there still be goods selling at 99 cent? Then how are we going to get back our 1 cent?
