Browsing Malaysia Today, I read about the cancellation of the proposed bloggers meet on Saturday 4th August 07.
This is what Raja Petra Kamaruddin wrote about the cancellation;
The Bloggers meet at 3.00pm this Saturday, 4 August 2007, has been canceled due to advice from the security agency that it may not be wise to continue with the event. It seems certain unknown and irresponsible elements are planning to invade the event and create a ruckus which will then be used as an excuse to declare that Malaysia Today is attempting to start chaos with intentions to bring down the government. This will then be the basis for my detention under the Internal Security Act; that I am a threat to national security and a menace to society.
The organisers have asked me to extend their thanks to all those who had responded and had demonstrated their support in the interest of Bloggers’ solidarity. Maybe we can still meet under more peaceful circumstances when this Blog War has simmered down. Nevertheless, the Blog war continues . Read readers comments here.
Whats the outcome?
It shows there are Malaysians who declare they love Malaysia at the expanse of others liability. Are they true lovers of Malaysia? Or they just love Malaysia because they can rip the country's wealth? They are trying to scare us from voicing out out right as Malaysian which is stipulated in the Constitution.
