Books- The Raja Bahrin Shah Story

Today I finish reading the book The Raja Bahrin Story, A fathers dramatic rescue mission which I started to read sometime ago. Pheww.... I made it. It has been years that I can finish reading a book. The book by Times Book International published in 1997 was written by Raja Bahrin Shah and Bryan Wickham is a story about how a father set on a rescue mission to bring back his two kids Iddin and Shahirah to Malaysia after being abducted by their mother Jacqueline Gillespie.

It was based on real life drama and very adventurous whereby the journey took them from Melbourne through thousands of kilometres on land and the ordeal at sea across the Torres Straits from Weipa in Northern Territory Australia to Mereuke, Irian Jaya and from there to Sabah before ending the journey safely in Kuala Lumpur. the book tells the story from the point of view of Raja Bahrin to counter the distorted information related by the Australian news due to Jacqueline Gillespie' s plot.

Jacqueline wrote a book to counter Raja Bahrin tittled Once I was a Princess.

At the end of the book Raja Bahrin wrote this;

Justice must be administered with compassion . But how can compassion be considered when the mind s that administer the law are so clouded and tainted by prejudice about religion and creed.

Finished reading the book at 8.49 a.m.
