Is There Still The Human Race?

Berita Harian today frontpaged another case of an employer beating up the maid.

Sometime back it was the Nirmala Bonat case and from time to time we hear of maid being abused. When will this ever stop?

The Star reports, "The woman, when met at the scene, claimed that her employer would beat her up if she did anything wrong and refused to give her proper food.

“She hits me and gives me only bread to eat,” she said. "

With all these abuses by humans on humans do we still have the human race? Irrespective the origin of the domestic helper, they are humans too and trying to make a decent living. Who knows back home they might have some mouth to feed.
