Internet Investment

A few days ago I had written about how to get rich. Tonight I heard over Buletin Utama that SC is going to bar all illegal internet investment scheme website. Internet investment hit our shore in recent years and just early this year it has become so popular that it even attract the government to discuss about it. First it was Swiss Cash and it has made many Malaysian living a better life with it. It has been around for a few years and of late only became popular.

I have seen friends who are able to settle credit card debt after investing. Then they drive brand new car with the the profit. How can they promise at least 2% daily? This is one that the legal investment arms can't do. They invest in commodities too just like what the legals do.

When more people are making money then the hammer came down. Starting with the Majlis Mufti's decision that the investment is Haram, the investment took a turn and become talk of the town. Whether it is Haram or not is not the issue. Whatever Haram is Haram and no two way about it. But internet investment is not the only Haram issue. Smoking is classified as Haram too. Muslim patronizing clubs, bars and discos and consuming liquor is also Haram. Sureheboh is also Haram. Nearly all activities organised by private companies and the government also has the Haram criteria (men and women mixed freely). Oooppps, I am not going to babble about Islam here. Haram is Haram. Full Stop.

When the internet investment scheme is being going around from mouth to mouth and friend to friends, some took the risk of going to Bank Rakyat and took up personal loan to invest. A clerk manage to recover her loan in just a few months and make profit the fourth months onwards. However making loans to invest is not the right decision. Investing is using whatever extra money to make more money.

Now that when the government has put their hand in, many internet investment website has switched their website to maintenance. Thus making more people losing money not because of the website is a cheat but because of the goverment's interference. And now if the SC start banning these websites more people will loose more money.

Does the action of the SC will breach the MSC Bills of Gaurantee? Whats the percentage of investors losing money to investors making profit? How much money (in USD) does investor help bringing into Malaysia? After all they still call it Skim Cepat Kaya.

This is another get rich quick scheme. This should be the target of the authority.
