Susan Loone's posting "More Freedom of press during Pak Lah" is a worth to read by bloggers. There is a copy of the letter from Bahagian Kawalan Penerbitan dan Teks Al Quran,Kementerian Dalam Negeri, that advises the media to refrain and referring contents in the internet especially by bloggers who were considered liars, cheaters, rumour spreaders and a threat to national unity.
Why do people blog? There are many reasons. I blog because I want to share my experiences that I face in life. I blog because I want to share my travelling experience with other readers. I blog because I want to dessiminate information, blah....blah....blah.....
There is also an article in AgendaDaily refering to the same topic as what Susan had written. The main point here is why do we have Malaysiakini, Malaysia Today, Harakah Daily, Agenda Daily, MyKMU and many more in syberspace. The answer from my point of view is very easy. The mainstream media hide most of the news and information that is posted by bloggers and other internet newscasters.
The first line in Agenda Daily reads; "Akhbar-akhbar digesa tidak memetik sumber dari laman blog ketika melaporkan sesuatu berita kerana sumber itu tidak boleh dianggap sebagai sah, kata Menteri Penerangan Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin Selasa." In laymen term I understand that all bloggers are irresponsible citizens because they are trying to reveal what is being hidden by the mainstream media by order of the authority and all blog politically inclined are just rubbish in cyberspace dump site even if there is truth in it. Guys out there, If you are reading my blog, means you are reading part of rubbish.
