The Year End Holidays

As I have written earlier, I will have the luxury of 4 days holidays; 2 in 2006 and another 2 in 2007. Wa, anyone trying to find combination of four numbers for the next Magnum draw? So, with the 4 days holidays in a row I plan to go back to my kampung (hey, not kampungla, it's Bandaraya Alor Star). Its Kampung Berjaya, just 10 minutes drive from the Alor Setar city centre (Where's the city centre?). My normal driving habit is to go back late at night. Yes, It will be another night driving of how many hours I don't know. Driving through the PLUS highway will take me about 6-7 hours on my old faithful car(Proton Saga 1.5i) N.B. You all at Proton, don't u want to praise me for staying with the 1991 Proton and I have made 3 rounds on Peninsular Malaysia using that old car. It's still trustworthy. By 3 rounds I mean = KL-Kuantan-Kuala Terengganu-Kota Bharu-Grik-Baling- Alor Setar-Butterworth- Ipoh-KL.

I will definitely use a combination of route to save money on unnecessary tol (beside I am against toll paying, unless I travel on official assignment where the government pay for my travelling expanses).
KL to Tg. Malim on PLUS. (RM 9.50)
Tg. Malim -Ipoh using Route 1 (FOC).
Ipoh (Jelapang) - Kuala Kangsar on Plus. (RM 3.50)
Kuala Kangsar to Simpang Ampat another stretch of Federal Route 1.
Simpang Ampat to Juru just RM 1.10.
Juru to Sg Dua is FOC.
Then from Sg. Dua to Sungai Petani Selatan (RM 3.60) and exit to the trunk road again and all the way to Alor Setar.
Total Toll using the highway from Damansara to Alor Setar Selatan is RM 54.40 (I can buy petrol and travel from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth)
