29 August 06Loyalty cards are issued to promote business. If I am not mistaken the first loyalty card introduced in Malaysia was
Bonus Link and I am a holder of such card. To date I have benefitted from the rewards - electronic shaver, CD holder. Then Real Rewards was introduced and I also applied for it. Since then I stick to Real Rewards since point are based on 1 point to RM1 instead of Bonus Link. Whenever I fill up my tank using Bonus Link I get only 8 points to RM15 of petrol but 15 points with Real Rewards.
Then there other loyalty cards which I applied but use occasionally - Smiles, EZ Card and the latest BHP card during the promotion at Consumers Fair in Bukit Jalil. However I am not sure whether I will be able to collect points from them since my petrol is not
BHP (Boustead Holdings Petroleum) and I not sure I will switch to them since I am boycotting as far as possible British and American products. C'mon, BUY MALAYSIAN.....
Buy Americans and British last.
