Encounter With The Stars

I went for breakfast at about 9.00 am at the Midtown cafe. As soon as I entered I saw a familiar figure. He is A. Galak, the Sgt. Misai in Gerak Khas. Then with him is another man who is also an actor in the same drama but I do not know his name. Well, meeting actors is an opportunity that does not always happen.

I once acted in a Malay teledrama back in 1985 produced by RTM and directed by Abdullah Zainol. It was televised during the Maulid ur Rasul the same year. The writer is my friend Zainol Idris. The main actors for the drama were Zamie Ismail, N.D Lala, Normah Damanhuri and afew more that I can't remember their names. The title of the drama was Al-Infitar. Well, I have the opportunity to act on film. An opportunity that does not come everytime.

Then again there was one malay drama where the location is at the Alor Setar Complex. Among the actors present were Erma Fatimah, Ebby Saiful, Azwan Ali, Ebby Yus. I had the opportunity to chat with Azwan Ali and also an autograph from Erma.

Back to the story I met a few more actors from Gerak Khas. One of the main character is my old friend Zulkifli Ismail. He is from Alor Setar and I met him during a theatre performance at Gelanggang Budaya, Alor Setar. Iwas active in theatre then.
