Dreaming - Publishing A Book On Paintball

I am not sure whether my dream of publishing a book will come true. It was my dream since the 70s when I told a friend that I want to publish a book irrespective of any topic. That dream still lingers in my mind.

Last week I started on my new supposed to be book after collecting information and pictures. It will be a book my new found sport - paintball. I have never seen any book about paintball in bookshops here (maybe someone found somewhere) in Kuala Lumpur. So, I am writing a book about the extreme sport and I have decided to write in Bahasa Malaysia. I hope this dream can come true. I know the market is not that big for such a book but at least I start somewhere.

I know I am just a young gun playing the game barely a month before shooting in the My-NPL 2009. I am a newbie but that is not a stumbling block for me. You seasoned paintballerz out there, I might get in touch with you and harvest your experience in the sport.

Another By Election?

After two Bukits now ther will be another Batang added to the list. The third Bukit is still hanging. It will be some festivities. Some sort of yardstick to gauge the influence of PR and the loosing grip of BN. Hope for it.

Don't Blame BN For Eli's Issue - Gerakan VP

Its interesting to read thestatement of Gerakan Vice President, Huan Cheng Guan. As reported in Malaysian Insider he is going to resign from his post if PR can prove that what happens to politician and blogger Elizabeth Wong is the work of BN.

From the report I pick out this statement of his:

"I'm confident that the BN will not reduce itself to being part of such an underhanded attempt to ruin the public and private life of an individual. It is unfair for PR (Pakatan Rakyat) to constantly blame the BN whenever an issue that impairs them arises.

........ underhand attempt to ruin the public and private life of an individual. Did he forgot the Chua Soi Lek case? Is that not an underhand successful attempot to ruin his private life?

The political climate in Malaysia is getting hotter since the Mac 2008 political Tsunami. Every attempt is being made to overturn the peoples verdict and don't tell the public it is the own work of PR. BN has robbed the people of Perak illegally (of course rob is already illegal) their choice of government. Now they are trying to rob the people of Kedah and Selangor illegally too. The easiest and most destructive weapon is sex as had been proven in DSAI's sodomy charges and Chua Soi Lek. Bukit Selambau ADUN who resigned too has sex related issues. So I hope it can be proven that Eli's case is also the same tactic. Or else why will the offender exposed her picture taken without her consent. If Eli is not a Wakil Rakyat and an EXCO member,I don't think the pictures has any value at all.

In Malaysia, the case of missing person is becoming rampant. Starting with late Altantuya, then PI Bala and followed by three Perak ADUNS. Now Eli's ex boyfriend who is a suspect Helmi Malek. Except for late Altantuya, the rest might live happily ever after once the case is settled.

My 2009 Gift

I was in Johor Bahru last week when I received an SMS from my superior informing me that I have been promoted. Well, I was upgraded to a new category and definitely its a boost for my going to end career. My pay annual increment has reached the ceiling (as commonly known) for the last two years. Therefore this 'naik pangkat' is a boost for me for the next about 600 odd days in service. Its definitely a new year gift for me which I least expected.

Malaysian National Paintball League 2009

14th February every year is Valentines Day. For the first time I fall in love in all these years of living. No! I did not fall in love with another women but with a new sport- paintball.

14th and 15th February 2009 was the first leg of 2009 National Paintball League and I was part of it as a player in Division 4 (young gunners). Hahaha....young gunners really tickle me. At this age I am young again. Of course its a new experience for me. Most players are young except one or two including me.

My involvement in this sport all happens when I sent my application to join the Bloggers Paintball Tournament organised by Advertlets in January 2009. It was my first taste of that war game sports held at MAPAAC field at ASTAKA Ground Petaling Jaya, Selangor. During that Bloggers Paintball Tournament, I was grouped together with four other bloggers - Marcus, Evo, Din and Celine. It was a first time at the sport for us except for Marcus and Evo who both had played paintball a few times before. Me, Din and Celine are first timers playing.

On that day 17th January marks the formation of a new team YAKUZA, the name given by Marcus. From that day onward Team Yakuza did not look back and played ourselves to the finals and emerged as runners-up after losing to an experienced paintballerz, Alpha Marksman, who I found out to be army personnel with ranks as high as major. I and the other Yakuzas was not disheartened losing to them since we are civilians fighting against a team whose game is guns and warfield. However we learn a lot from Alpha Marksman, studying how they move in battle and I think I was the last man standing (Ooops..I was kneeling when being shot at the back) during that game.
The team: The initial YAKUZAs who played at the Bloggers Paintball Tournament.
( from left: Evo, Uncle Z, Marcus, Celine and Din)
The team with new member for the NPL, Josh from Advertlets. On left is Ashley from Blazers. Taken during the Bloggers Paintball Tournament. Seems there is signs showing that Josh will be joining us for NPL

Before the league, our team lost one player Celine who pulled out voluntarily. Therefore we have to recruit another player and Marcus and Evo worked hard looking for another member. In actual fact we need another three since a team can register 7 players. They manage to rope in Josh from Advertlets. We had a practice sessions a week before the NPL and fortunately we had some hands on practical sessions with Simon who will be playing in D3. During this training we receive valuable tips from Simon but due to first time practising I especially could master it properly.Skills needs time to be mastered. In sports he/she needs at least 6 weeks before he show any progress in training and there is a research that someone need about 10,000 hours of training to master a skill. Therefore we can,t make a champoin in just an overnight training. But that training session of us with Simon did provide us with some confidence to face other well organised teams in the NPL.Our first and second game on the day came out positively. We won both games but lost the third and fourth game.

With strings of unconvincing results after the first two wins, we were expecting the worse. We thought that Game Over for us in this first leg of the NPL. However we found out that we are ranked 13th out of the 28 teams participating which we did not expect withour barely one month team. It is indeed a great leap for us.So we made it into the sweet 16 quarter finals where winners in two out of three games will proceed to the sweet 8 before going into the finals. Unfortunately we lost both the first and second games to Infidels who in the end landed on the podium.Whats next for the YAKUZAs. We think we should keep the team. During discussion with Wong he did gave us a psychological motivation and I was impressed with what he said. "Don't destroy the forest because of one bad tree. Chop the tree and keep the forest". Its philosophical indeed.

The next event will be held at UTM, Skudai, Johor in March.Pre NPL day: We met at the venue and did the field walk in preparation for the competition. Together with us is Simon who gave us on-hands tips. In sports this field walk is important for the athlete to make his/her mental preparation. Visualisation and imagery is part of preparation.
However with all the tips, we still do make simple and silly mistakes maybe because of the adrenalin and excitement of being in the top paintball competition with less than a month of tasting paintball sport.

Making the break during the sweet 16 quarter final against Infidelz.

This is Din. He makes a good defence in the centre.

Its me taking aim. The adrenaline rush at this point is great hearing the pellets hitting the bunker. In this situation it teaches and train me to be mentally strong and brave enough to face the opponents. This is one benefit of playing paintball. I was in this situation years back at Kem Terendak during the coaches orientation program. Back them, we were ambushed by real Army Ranger using M16s and blanks. The situation is because it was about 4.00 a.m and we are in the dark. I did say to myself," Lucky I am not in the army".

Syed Hamid Does Not Understand The Word Pakatan

Over Buletin Utama tonite, TV3 as normal try to bash DSAI and Pakatan Rakyat. That is normal because the two Bukit's buy election is around the corner. And both Bukits were won by the Pakatan Rakyat.

When interviewed by TV3 reporter he was saying that pakatan cannot work like BN does. Of course la, BN consists of yesmens who are opportunity seekers. Pakatan is just a pact who want to work together for a common purpose. If they follow the BN mould then they will say Pakatan has no idea and  just imitate what their formula.

Pakatan originates from the source Pakat meaning to come and work together. In villages there is pakats where they join hand and work together to achieve a common goal such as organising kenduris. So they pakat-pakat work together to make the job easier. There is no official organisation amongst them.

So thats the idea of Pakatan Rakyat that I understand. Just to pakat-pakat or work together and achieve their goal that is to bring down BN. It is a better cooperation because there is no commitment among them unlike BN who must obey the majority that is Ketuanan UMNO.

Hmmmm...........What Do You Think?

In his testimony today he agreed that Najib's name was mentioned in the said article and admitted that the deputy prime minister was an "important witness".

However to questions from defence counsel Gobind Singh Deo, Gan said that he had not investigated Najib despite him being an important witness.

"Najib was not interrogated because the police had dismissed his involvement in the case," said Gan.

Still With Boycott Isreal

To me the boycott is still valid. For a Muslim to heed to the boycott campaign of American product is a Jihad. Tonight I found a website listing products from America. HERE.

I have posted about identifying the use Bar Code as origin of a particular product and the first three digit on as Bar Code represents it. For product of Isreal the first three digit is 729.

In this posting I am writing on some more information about Bar Code.

Here are some examples of Bar Code registered to a country.

00 - 13       USA and Canada
570-579    Denmark
729             Israel

Go HERE for the EAN- 13 background information and UPC

However the code still does not gives us the exact origin of a particular product. It is still better to check the Made In... too to confirm.

Is It A Repetition?

When Datuk Seri Anwar was sacked in 1998, there was a demonstration of unhappiness among the people. Then Harakah and other opposition bulletin and newspaper was confiscated to prevent the truth from being known by people on the street.

When Perak's government was coup de etated, it also created demonstration resulting so far 9 people hauled up and presented in court. Then Harakah and KeADILan newspapers was confiscated from newstands. Is it the same reaction?

Over TV3 on Buletin Utama the campaign for the Bukit Selambau Adun that has been vacated already started. Thats the norm of Malaysia.

What about the Camry's in Perak? Will it be sold and the EXCO's return to their Perdana's? They make noise before, now let's see what is their action about the imported cars.

Media Crackdown imminent?

Bye Election In Perak After All

Berita Harian news update has this. The Star online reported here.

Bukit Gantang MP, Roslan Shaharum passed away and was confirmed by Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar, Pas General Secretary.

In the March 8 general election last year, Roslan polled 20,015 votes against Abdul Azim Mohd Zabidi’s (Barisan Nasional) 18,449 votes. (1566 majority- by me)

The third candidate was an independent, M. Morgan, who got 872 votes. - The Star

Ibnu Majah's Hadis Confirmed DS Nizar's Stand

Datuk Seri Nizar does not relinquish from his post eventhough the opposition immorally has taken over taken the administration of Perak.

The above literally translated; "Uthhman, if you will one day be elected by Allah to administer leadership, and the munafikin want to take off the dress that God put on you, then don't take it off.

The above hadis was and advice from Prophet Muhammad PBUH to Uthman bin 'Affan RA in relation to the Sunnah in an administration.

I read about the above hadis from another blog by saifulislam

When I Think of Perak

When PR was ruling Perak media stated that it is kerajaan pembangkang. How can it be a pembangkang when it is the government. During the last 11 month PR was government and the BN was the opposition. news should have mentioned it that way. Now it is right to say that kerajaan pembangkang has ruled Perak.

When the BN rob the people of Perak their legal government news written also said kerajaan mengambil alih pembangkang. When was PR a pembangkang in Perak? Thew way I see it they should write as pembangkang merompak kerajaan negeri PR. So misleading.

Those days I support Karpal  Singh but today I am not in favour of him anymore. To sue the monarchy for political purpose is uncalled for and what he has  done really hurt the feelings of all Malays in the country including those in PR government and PR oppositions. It seems that Karpal has now been a thorn in the meat.

Read in a blog that the DYMM Sultan Perak Darul Ridzuan has a new blog to replaced the dreamworks that was tsunamied by unhappy Perakians with HRH decision not to call for a fresh election. The new URL is HERE

No Demonstration In Perak, Please

The Police issued a statement that they will take action against those who organise demostrations in Perak in relation to the present situation. This was was issued by Tan Sri Ismail Omar, Deputy PoliceChief as reported in mStar today 8th February 2009.

And today too, 3000 BN supporter organise a demonstration that is related to the same situation.

No action? Double standard again?

Paintball Practice At Astaka

I am back and tired. My legs seems soft but the best thing is I do not feel sleepy. Reason? I just came back from my paintball practice. I and my  team Yakuza who won 1st Runners up during the Bloggers Painbatll Torunament willbetaking part in the National Paintball League next week-14 and 15 February 2009. It will beat AstakaGround in Petaling Jaya. So there will be no love struck for this Valentine I suppose,  for the paintballerz are going to shoot paints.

Today my team organize our first and maybe the only practice before the competition. It was a fruitful outing for all of us especially myself, din, and Josh since this the second time we play paintball. For Marcus and Evo, it might be a few times already. We learn some basic ropes of paintballing. We would convey our thousand thanks to Simon who untiringly shared his knowledge and experience with us. After all he is in D3 and we are in D4. Rookies lar.

This is the new souvenir I brought back.
I was hit on the right lateral partof the ambomen  during one of the trial sessions.

Nizar Still MB?

The Star published this news "Ku Li: Why Nizar Is Still The MB"

Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin is still the Perak Mentri Besar until he resigns of his own accord, or is removed by a vote of no-confidence in a formal sitting of the State Assembly

At least for once there is some one in UMNO who has the brain. Why doesn't UMNO monimate him for the President.

Updated

I receive an SMS that reads (In Bahasa Melayu)

Perkara16(6), sistem Raja Berperlembagaan Malaysia, Sultan hanya ada kuasa melucutkan jawatan ahli Mesyuarat Negeri (Exco) tapi tidak MB. MB hanya boleh dilucutkan jawatan melalui pembubaran DUN,undi tak percaya dalam sidangDUN,MB sendiri meletak jawatan.

Sekarang MB Nizar bertindak berani mempertahankan hak rakyat yang memilihnya.

Biar rakyat yang menentukan. Media BN memutar belit fakta. Sebarkan maklumat ini dalam, SMS dan blog anda.

What Happen Is Expected

What happened in Kuala Kangsar is expected after the people's elected government was coup de etated by the desperate BN to show to the rakyat. Never mind I loose two buy election but I get back one state. This is in preparation for next month. You know what. Image polishing.

The last economic gloom was towards the end of 1990s.

The last fierce Reformasi activities was also towards the end of 90s.

Now its also towards the end of the 2000 - 2008 onwards

And the people vent anger Reformasi style in Kuala Kangsar is also about the same time as was the last.

This will not happen if the Sultan dissolve the state assembly and have a fresh election. Read this. The rakyat showed their anger is not solely because of the change government but how the change was done - at the whim and fancies of the frogs and undemocratically. I don't think this will happen if Pakatan Rakyat loose on a democratic platform i.e. through snap election.

Perakian Vent Thier Royal Anger

For the first time I was surprise to read how brave were Perakians who speak openly in diasgreeing at their Sultan because of his decisions on the Perak politics. They post in a website PEJABAT DYMM SULTAN PERAK DARUL RIDZUAN dreambook. Sentences written and posted are words which were never used on royalties before and this shows how angry the people of Perak towards the decision of HRH regarding the political situation in the silver state now.

I am not going to repeat the postings but you can read on the website itself. That also if the webmaster do not temporarily block or edit the posts. I just pick this comment below to show which party receive the popular votes in the 12th GE.

On PRU12 DUN Perak, PR garnered 442,660 votes and BN 399,565 votes (based on popular votes). Thats 43,095 more votes than BN. on what basis does BN have the right to rule perak?

Perak Bought Over?

Seems that the buying of government is a benchmark now? So if you have money you can buy a government. One down.......Selangor next?

The question.

Will the corruption charges on the two ex Perak Exco from PKR be retracted since they support BN now.

Theres a lot of frog in Perak now. Errrrr....is it raining heavily?

Sabah - Gold Medal

Perak - Silver Medal

Selangor - Bronze Medal?

The precedent has been set.

A Day At Pertama Complex

Today I went out to the city and for once my destination is not Bukit Bintang inclusive of Low Yatt Plaza. I decided to go to Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman instead for one reason, thinking that the ATM exhibition is still on at Dataran Merdeka. So headed on Rapid KL LRT towards Bandaraya station.

Dissapointed to see that the tents were empty which means the exhibition was over. Disembark at Bandaraya station and proceed to Sogo. Walk through Sogo heading to Pertama Complex for lunch. Entering Pertama, my son asked meto buy a wallet and he choose the blue Chelsea wallet. The price was RM 15.00 so I said to him to hold on because we want to go for lunch first.

After lunch we walk around inside Pertama. Pertama is one of the oldest shopping complex in Kuala Lumpur after The Campbell Complex. Those days in the 70s and early 80s whenever I come to KL, I will never miss this two complex. My itenary will include Pertama Complex, Campbell, Hankyu Jaya (no more now) and Chow Kit. I use to walk from Puduraya to Chow Kit and back.

Now Pertama Complex host handphone booths which can be its idendity. The complex is also where we can still find Malay traders which is something not found in other shopping complexes in Kuala Lumpur. Among the oldest tenants still running their business at the complex which I can remember is Selangor Photo and Raja Harun Redzuan photoshop.

While my wife went for a massage at a blind masseur outlet, I roam around the complex and found that there is a nice confortable surau on the third floor. It is very rare to find well built surau in shopping complexes. Usually it is just a small room in shamble. The management will convert any small corners and non commercial partly hidden room as surau and at awkward places. I had the opportunity to perform the Asar prayer and the Maghrib prayer at the surau.

It was raining heavily in KL and while waiting for the rain to subside, we walk around again and now I decided to buy the wallet for my son. At the first booth, it was RM 18.00 but I did not buy it. We went to the first place that we went upon arrival at Pertama but my son seems not interested. We move to the next booth and when I inquired the price was RM 10.00. Seems that the price for the same item is different eventhough at one location.

I shop around for a camera bag that can also fit my netbook. There are three shops that I went in. The first I did not requested for the price. At Pertama Photo, the price tag was RM 399 but the shopkeeper is offering me for RM 200 which he said is the lowest he can give. I was thinking of taking the offer but knowing I don't have much cash in my wallet, I decided not to buy yet because I want to bring my netbook along to try and fit into the sleeve provided. Its not build for camera and laptop but can be improvised to fit both.

After that I went into another photo shop on the ground floor located at the front of the complex. I saw the same bag and the salesman offered me RM100 for it. Its a RM100 difference. If I were to buy the bag from Pertama Photo, I would have lost a hundred ringgit. Now, the morale of my experience is, you must shop around first before deciding to buy.

Talking about his team, Chelsea, I don't know why he picked the team. But the trend now is English Premier League Teams souvenir is selling well eventhough they are not official and genuine. These paraphernalia is being sold as if the EPL is taking place in our own backyard.

Chronology Of Perak Politic Since 25 January

mStar compiled the chronology which the plot is getting thicker beginning with Datuk Nasarudin Hashim quitting UMNO and joins PKR. ClickHERE.

RM 25 Million From BN To Jump Ship

The picture above was downloaded from mStar report alleging that BN offered RM25 million for each PR state reps to join BN. This shows how desperate BN is to topple the legal state government. This was disclosed by a Ipoh Barat PKR Division Chief,  Fauzi Muda, about the offer by BN after the March 08  Tsunami. If the allegation is proven, then I think SPRM might net a giant catch in Malaysian history.

All Fingers Pointing To.......

All eyes are now focused on Perak. The government is at the brink with a one seat advantage. Kelantan has been in this situation and UMNO was going all out try topple the PAS government but Allah is great and maintain the Islamic government until now. And now the Kelantan PAS government is very comfortable.

After the Mac 08 political tsunami, UMNO, unlike other component parties, has become like gila talak after losing another four states to PR. Since then they have been going all out to "rob" back the Selangor and Perak state government. They are now pulling out all their trump cards to bring down Tan Sri Khalid in Selangor with ex MB at the helm. And in Perak too, they are using their unexhausting tactics to topple the legal government illegally. Lets hope the SPRM will keep a close eye on the politicians in Perak  especially the two AWOL Exco who had gone missing and reportedly hiding in TPM's house in Pekan. DSAI said TPM is behind it because he is good at hiding missing person including Bala (who is missing until today). It was also reported that if they defect to UNMO the accusation of them accepting bribe last year will be erased (Malaysia Boleh).  On top of that they will be rewarded (not bribe in BN's vocabulary) with RM10 million and post of MB of Perak if Perak government is toppled. SPRM: can this be tantamount to bribe?

All fingers are now pointing to UMNO at what is happening in Perak. It is a show of their non compliance to the Sultan of Perak and not respecting the people of Perak who booted them out in the last election.

If there were going to be a snap election either in the two constituencies concerned or the Perak state, then the rakyat in other parts of Malaysia will again be deprived of development expenditure because RM will be diverted to Perak and showered to lure voters to vote for BN like in other elections, big and small. But they will say NO!!, this is not because of the election but our responsibility. Bull shit.

Throw The Shoe And Win $1000

The shoe throwing journalist really created a history for himself because the incident does not end there. There is a game created to further humiliate Bush the self proclaimed terrorist and thats not the end. There's a prize of $1000 waiting for someone who throw the 100,000,000th shoe at Bush. The game is called Sock and Awe, dares player to throw as many shoes as possible at Bush. A player has 30 seconds to throw and I amnot sure whether the game is slow or my computer is slow. For theduration of 30 seconds there is only 4 times Bush emerge from behind the counter. My best throw is just three shoes that hit Bush.
Besides Bush there is also another four people on the waiting list to get the boot too. There is also some statistics of the Top Ten Shoe Thrower and Top Ten Show Throwing Nation. United States is top on the list. Irap the origin of the shoe throwing is not in the list. To try your luck click on the picture to play.

Need Laptop Charger Pin Head

I am posting this article in search for my laptop powercable jack. It was broken and I had bought a universal replacement and now the head is already broken. Iknow I can buy a new one but on second thought why should I fork out about RM 80.00 or more just to have that small head thing. Now I am turning to the internet and hope can trade with anyone who has the type of head for my computer. Of course it is easier if I can find someone around Klang Valley.
Picture above: This is the power jack for my Benq joybook laptop.

Picture Above: These are the heads that is of no use to me. I have two sets of this and willing to barter trade one to one with the head on the second slot from the right. If there is anyone out there who want to trade the head just contact me.

Semobi T1

I bought a new handset at Alor Setar. It was cheap version of a high end gadget and Made In China. I was looking around to buy a second handset for my U mobile simcard and I have to look for a 3G enabled phone. Bought the cheapest 3G handset a few month back and was a  Nokia but gave it to my daughter.  That set was cheaper in Kota Kinabalu compared to here in West Malaysia. However that set was for the Taiwan market but imported legally here by a legal company. As a second handset I was looking for a cheap one and found a TV-mobile. Its a Made In China product Semobi T1 Dual Sim Dual Standby TV Mobile.

The phone function: Dual SimCard, TV reception,FM reception, Bluetooth, 3.0 Mp Camera, Touch screen, MP3/MP4, VTR, Webcam and E-book reader.

 Price? Just RM 380.00.
Waaa, like an iPhone interface
Receiving TV 3 reception.
Alamak!! The Instructions is in Chinese. SOS, anyone can help?

This model has one feature that I had not seen on other phones before. Its the charger. The cable can be disconnected from the socket head and plug into the USB port on the computer. So one will need just one power point to run the computer and charge the phone. Only one minus point is the socket can't fit into our local standard 3 pin plug socket and need an adapter. It is a flat two pin plug.
The charger.

More information about the phone HERE and FREE Java Games and phone applications HERE
