Went to PC fair on Sunday afternoon. This time my plan is to subscribe to P1 Wimax after knowing that my area is now covered. Better still I found out that my area has an overlapping coverage. That should be good news I suppose.
During the lastPC fair in December, I sign up as interest to subscribe because during that time my area is still not covered.
This is the first post using my P1 network. As being claimed, setting up is as easy as plug and play. I connected the modem to my router and my laptop was connected on maximum bar. Now I have a personal network in my home.
My conclusion: They mean what they claim as far as I am concern but not sure what will happen in future. I tried You Tube and it load smoothly too as claimed.
I tried to log on to Wimax website but was returned with a Oops! This link appear to be broken. Not sure was it because the website bandwith has been exceeded due to the massive increase of subscribers due to the PC Fair.
Note: I can't test the speed because Ican't even log into P1 website.

waaaaaaa.... best nyer... im still stuck with Streamyx, everybody's favorite ISP.. LOL
do keep us updated with the quality of WiMax, may want to switch later. lol
Don't forget the 20GB downloads cap. hehehehe I have been on W1MAX since Dec last year, everything is ok except that on ocassion, the modem would reboot itself and caused my download disconnected
thanks lim for your advice. I appreciate it. maybe the set up is easy and kacang. Only You Tube load smothly. Others has no big difference from my maxis broadband. Some site like blogger still crawl before fully loaded.
they capped the download limit
what about torrent download?
did they throttling it as well like streamyx?
Hi harold, I am not sure about P2P downloading since I have not done that ever since I stop using limewire.
Marcus, I did not experience any difference using Wimax so far. But I think might be better than Streamyx.
